Sam adopted Ellie, a beautiful Gray American Pitbull Terrier, and fostered Sophie, a gorgeous Staffy, Lab, St. Bernard, and Boxer mix.
Her life was never the same after getting her dogs.
She encountered challenges when Ellie and Sophie first met.
In an Instagram post, she added a short clip of Sophie and Ellie fighting, then shifted to show how much their relationship had grown since.
Now, both dogs are best of friends.
Sam loves how her two dogs changed, not just her life but also her mother’s.
You see, Nancy, Sam’s mother, had always been terrified of dogs.
Whenever she sees a dog, she would move as far away as she could.
But, what happened?
Why was Nancy so afraid of dogs?
According to her, when she was seven years old, she and her sister were chased by a huge dog.
From then on, she became terrified of any dog.
Can you imagine her reaction when her daughter adopted Ellie and then fostered Sophie?
Nancy said that she wouldn’t even dare visit Sam with those dogs around.
Of course, that didn’t happen.
She managed to go to Sam’s home, but each time was a challenge.
As the dogs would greet her, she would run and hide from them.
Curious, Sophie and Ellie would try to sniff her, but she would move away from them.
She felt hopeless.
Nancy misses bonding with her daughter, but with the two dogs around, it seemed impossible for her to cope.
Until one day, she realized something.
Sam had to pay someone for daycare, and Nancy knew she could help.
She was the only one who could change the situation, and she made up her mind.
Nancy vowed to try her best and overcome her fear of dogs.
She volunteered to watch the dogs, and Sam shared a clip of her being alone with them.
It was such a wonderful sight to see.
The dogs knew she was still adjusting, so they slowly went to her for pets.
She tried her bravest to pet the dogs, and that was the start of a beautiful bond.
Soon, Nancy would visit Sam, not just because she missed her daughter, but because of Ellie and Sophie.
Sam shared that her mom would often call and visit Ellie and Sophie.
Her mom loved the dogs so much and said that Nancy is now a grandmother of two beautiful dogs.
We all know how grandmothers are, right?
You guessed it.
She would visit and she would always have presents for Sophie and Ellie.
Nancy would bring stuffed toys and treats for them.
Sam said that her dogs gained five pounds since Nancy started watching them.
Well, that was expected, right?
The dogs would always follow her around because she always has treats in her pockets.
When they are eating, the dogs would be near their grandmother.
They’re inseparable!
Sam felt so happy seeing her mother like this. Aside from overcoming her fear of dogs, she has now established a bond with them.
