When Charles De Gaulle said:
“The better I get to know men, the more I find myself loving dogs.”
… we felt that. Dogs have the uncanny ability to love indiscriminately and extraordinarily. In fact, their love isn’t just limited to humans! They will love any and everything that crosses their path.
Dogs like Fiona are the reason we know dogs are the best ever.

Fiona is a Great Pyrenees that is as kind and loving as they come. No matter who it is, Fiona is always down to give them a nuzzle and say hello. Her owner, in a biased quote, of course, says, “she is just the sweetest dog.”
It makes sense, too.
Great Pyrenees dogs are big and fluffy! Despite their size, they are incredibly kind. They grow to 100 lbs and are super strong working animals. They were originally used to deter wolves from stealing sheep on tops of mountains!
One of their key features is their patience and calm.

The AKC says:
Frequently described as “majestic,” Great Pyrenees are big, immensely strong mountain dogs standing as high as 32 inches at the shoulder and often tipping the scales at more than 100 pounds. These steadfast guardians usually exhibit a Zen-like calm, but they can quickly spring into action and move with grace and speed to meet a threat.
That Zen attitude makes them wonderful family dogs and friends. Fiona is no exception!

Every time Fiona and her owner go to the Golden Gate State Park, they can’t help but make friends.

While at the park, Fiona is always finding new friends that she wants to say hello to! Sometimes those friends are humans, and sometimes they are other dogs. Occasionally, they aren’t either one!
On a recent trip to the park, Fiona learned that the little mounds around the field had little creatures in them!

At the park, Fiona learned that the little mounds all around contained gophers! The little animals are usually skittish and hide, but when Fiona learned what was in the holes, she couldn’t stay away. She didn’t want to chase them or attack them, either. She just wanted to say hello!
When they visit, she sits with her head next to the holes, waiting.
Most dogs would only be interested in attacking the little creatures. Fiona wasn’t about that at all. She just saw the little mounds as an opportunity to make a new friend. Every time she visits, she waits around for a little gopher head to pop out.
“She does it quite often, She thinks everyone wants to say hi to her.” – The Dodo
After a few cute occurrences, Fiona’s mom was able to get a video of it.
The world still has some innocence left in it. Fiona and her gopher friends are great reminders of that! You can’t help but watch her waiting to say hello and her surprise when one shows up. This big dog has the heart to match her size!
