This dog found himself in a frightening situation when he became stuck in a deep well in Anhui Province, China.
How the dog ended up in this situation is unknown, but thankfully help was on the way.
A team of firefighters arrived in a timely manner and set up the necessary contraptions to find the dog and bring him out from the depths of the well. You can see the tremendous effort of the firefighters in the video below.
In it’s fear and uncertainty of not knowing he was being rescued, the poor Golden Retriever wiggles and whines – while also accidentally scratching his rescuer in the face.
But the trained firefighters know exactly how to behave around this frightened animal, and before long the Golden Retriever is freed.
After animals are rescued by firefighters, there are typically two reactions. They’re either eager to return to their natural habitats and don’t stick around long, or they show unconditional gratitude towards their heroes.
Considering this is a dog we’re talking about, it shouldn’t come as too big a surprise that this Golden Retriever chose the latter.
In it’s excitement from being freed from the deep well, this Golden Retriever thanked the firefighter by clinging to him. Yes, literally clinging to him.
But it doesn’t stop there. With such excited energy, the Golden Retriever rubs around the firefighter’s legs in a hilarious pose.
This ecstatic dog proceeds to dip between the firefighter’s legs, rub outside his legs, and move with such a happy and pure energy. See his grateful reaction for being rescued in the video below.
Though this dog couldn’t say thank you with words, he certainly got the message across with his actions.
