A dog’s taste buds usually do not agree with the taste of fruits and vegetables. Some of them are bad for dogs, while others are deemed as simply not edible by the picky eaters.
Dogs, no matter how adorable they are can be, are harsh food critics when presented with plant life to eat. They are known to spit out a fruit or a veggie that they do not like. They are also known to give a plant only a quick sniff before ignoring it completely.
There is one dog on YouTube that has become very good at rejecting fruits and vegetables. The dog’s name is Tucker. He is a golden retriever that is popular on YouTube for many things, which include doing food reviews.
In one video, Tucker is joined by a cute puppy named Pearl.
The small fluffy animal is always ready to scramble for food and take some more from her food review partner in the video. Tucker at times seems to be on the cusp of laughter when the cute puppy tries to also eat his food.
What makes the video funnier is the made-up captions that Tucker’s owner Linda includes in the video.
Tucker refers to broccoli as “tree of doom” and the slice of apple as “fronch fry” in the food review session.
The food review starts with the two being shown a platter of food with different fruits and vegetables in it. Then, the two furry animals are presented with pieces of broccoli. Tucker decides not to eat his first vegetable for the food review.
Pearl, however, wastes no time making sure that the food is already lodged in her mouth before something else happens. But, Pearl soon regrets her decision, so she spits out the food and proceeds in eating Tucker’s share. She ends up not liking it too.
The two food critics are also presented with slices of apple, watermelon and boiled egg. Pearl tries to get a second helping of every food item given to her by stealing one from the other dog. Tucker lets Pearl gets her round two of everything from him.
When each dog is presented with chicken, however, Tucker makes sure that Pearl does not try to steal it from him.
Pearl tries to snatch Tucker’s strip of chicken from the table but fails in her attempt because Tucker steered the food away with his mouth before eating it.
Tucker and Pearl’s food review has been viewed 15.6 million times and has received 375,000 likes on the media-streaming platform.
There are also YouTube users that have left funny comments about the video. One of them writes a funny comment about Pearl. The YouTube user praises Pearl for “knocking the broccoli off the table” and eating Tucker’s share instead:
