If you asked us what our idea of heaven would be, we’d say something along the lines of us being in a room full of puppies and being able to have them all to ourselves. There’s nothing that makes you feel more loved than when a puppy lunges themselves onto you, and although we’ve seen it in plenty of movies, we’ve sadly never quite had that moment where a whole litter of puppies throw themselves at you in one go. You know, the moment when you walk into a room and every single little floofball turns and legs it in your direction, tongues lolling, tails wagging…
But until that moment happens (and it will), we’re just going to have to live vicariously through other people, and that’s still pretty fun.
So when we came across a video of a man who had found himself in the middle of a particularly vicious looking puppy attack, we just knew that we were going to fall in love. See if you can watch this video without cracking a smile, because we know we couldn’t!
The golden retriever “puppy attack” was posted onto YouTube by Kim Wurster, and was captioned, “Loving Puppy Attack with 7 week old Golden Retriever Pups.”
Unsurprisingly, the video became a viral sensation with over 14 million views, as well as over 323k likes and thousands of comments.
The cute clip begins with a woman opening the gate of a puppy pen, which is full to bursting with 11 tiny, fluffy, adorable looking golden retriever puppies. A man sits on the floor close by to the pen and shouts, “puppies!” as all eleven balls of fluff run straight towards him. We’ve never wanted to trade places with somebody so bad just for this exact moment.
Once the puppies reach their target, they begin their attack. Each little golden clambers on top of the man, licks his face, nibbles his arms, and generally just tries to give him as much love as he can handle. The man ends up lying on the floor in fits of laughter as the puppies crowd around his face, each trying to fight for his attention.
The man seems to be absolutely living his best life, and despite yelling out, “puppy attack!”, we know that this is the one kind of attack that he is truly enjoying.
It seems we weren’t the only ones who were totally jealous of this man’s puppy attack! Many users took to the comments to share their love for the video, with one person saying:
“This video is the proof of what a really happiness face looks like. Had a smile on my face for 51 seconds straight.”
Another person added:
“I wonder how one goes about arranging this for, like, a birthday celebration. I’d totally take a puppy attack as a gift!”
This puppy attack is a total bucket list experience, and we’re pretty confident that somebody could make a great business venture out of this. Until then, we’ll just happily live through other people’s videos.
