With so many incredible dog breeds, it’s often hard for people to choose the one that’s right for their family. But one breed that’s an all-around great choice is the Golden Retriever. Not only are these dogs gorgeous but also intelligent, loyal, protective, and excellent with children.

The Golden Retriever makes a fantastic pet

If you have kids, you might want to place the Golden Retriever at the top of your list. Keep in mind that this breed does require a good amount of exercise and they have a healthy appetite. But if you’re ready to adopt a pup that’ll do incredibly well with children, this is one of the best.

That’s why a video showing Golden Retriever puppies attacking a toddler is so surprising

Just kidding, they’re not attacking but playfully chasing a small boy through the yard. In a video that’s now racked up more than 365,000 views, you can see the incredible interaction between this breed and a child.

Look at them go

We’re guessing this boy to be around three or four years old. As he tromps through the grass, he has an entire littler of the cutest puppies ever bouncing after him. With the sound turned up, you can hear him giggling.

Seven balls of fur

On average, a Golden Retriever has eight pups. So, this mama’s litter is within the normal range. Even then, that’s a lot to take care of, both for the mommy dog and her owners. But the effort is well worth it.

Trying to keep up

Granted, this little boy can’t run very fast at such a young age but he’s just a tad bit quicker than the puppies. In the video, you see the entire littler running as hard as they can trying to keep up with their human friend, although a couple of them fall behind.

There’s a bunch of Golden Retriever dogs

In the background, you can see a fenced-in kennel and run. Inside are several adult Golden Retriever dogs. We don’t know for sure, but we’re assuming one of those is the mom to this adorable litter and perhaps, one is the father.

Not stopping yet

As you watch this tyke continue running with the puppies following close behind, the adult dogs are also running alongside the fence. Hey, they want to get in on the fun too. After all, this breed loves to exercise.

Watch out little guy…don’t trip

At one point, most of the puppies catch up to the little boy. They get so close to him you worry for a second, he might go tumbling down. That’s when he stops and all the pups surround him. This is just too cute for words.

They can’t get close enough

While stopped, all the puppies get in as close to the boy as they can. He reaches down to pet them. And then it happens. As he tries to walk, one of the balls of fur gets underfoot…and down he goes. But he’s okay.

The puppies are smothering him…

…with kisses, that is. The more he tries to stand up the closer they get. During this time, he’s laughing. After viewing this video, one individual said, “He’s like drowning in puppies…where can I have this experience?” We’d all like to know that.

Other viewers chimed in

“Wouldn’t it be a great idea if every time we were sad, we had a button on hand that said ‘puppy attack’ that we could press?” Another poster has a good point, “Who’s happier, the toddler or the puppies?” They all look pretty happy as far as we’re concerned.
