If you’re feeling a bit lonely, it’s always a good idea to call up a friend or family member for some simple and easy together time. Of course, we know that humans can get lonely sometimes. But it turns out, our pets can too.
Sure, our pets have us humans to play with, but we do have to leave our dogs home alone sometimes. And sometimes, a dog wants another animal to play with, someone who will understand them.
And one Golden Retriever found that perfect companion in a tiny kitten!

It’s always fun to receive a gift that’s all wrapped up and topped with a big red bow.
But for the dog’s present, the pet owner safely set the cat in an opened box and let his pooch peek inside.
The Golden curiously looks at the kitten and does some detective work with his nose. Although the cat hisses back in response, it doesn’t stop the pooch from wagging his tail!
Maybe some good old-fashioned playtime is what everyone needs.
The pet owner takes the kitten out of the box and lays it right next to the dog.
It’s full of feistiness and bats at the human’s hand. At first, the dog just sniffs his new buddy and stays out of playtime. However, it doesn’t take long before it all changes!
In the next scene, it’s as if they’re fun-loving siblings who just want to wrestle around.
Golden Retrievers are known for their cheerful spirits, and it seems like the dog has been transformed back into a happy camper!
The two play for a bit and the feline ends up lying between the pooch’s front legs. Can you say cuteness overload?

The kitty is sure to return the favor too. While the canine gobbles up his food, his buddy hangs out and tries to drink water from the “massive” dog bowl.
