As far as first meetings go, they can get really tense. The pressure and the awkwardness can be too much for some and there are those who suffer from social anxieties. Understandable given that everyone is different. Some hit it right off, some don’t.
Then there are those first meetings for soulmates. If you don’t believe in soulmates, this video might just change your mind. These proud parents are just about to bring their newborn, Isaac, home. And they decided to film it.
Who was waiting for the new member of the family at home? Mom and dad’s precious Golden Retriever!
Taken by a GoPro camera, it captures the ride home all the way to the front door where a very excited dog can be seen waiting. The anticipation must have been too much for this dog.
They pull in to the garage and immediately, the Golden can be seen through the screen door and as soon as he is let out, he rushes to baby Issac, tail wagging and sniffing his heart out.
The Golden is so well behaved, he doesn’t even touch the carrier. He’s just so happy to see who the new member of the family is!
There is a reason why the Golden Retriever is one of the most popular dog breeds in America and around the world. They are super friendly, intelligent, and very tolerable of kids and playtime.
They will get along with anyone at home. Great with kids too!
Rest assured, they will protect their family. Baby Isaac is going to be just fine. He will have a best friend who is intelligent, loyal, playful, and very lively. They really are family dogs, sometimes even demanding to be included in more personal matters.

“I love how they introduced the baby to the dog on the more neutral ground (driveway) and gave him plenty of attention when they brought the baby into the house. Nothing says the dog is just as much a part of the family as making sure he doesn’t feel like he’s been replaced.”
They do let the Golden walk with them, accompanying baby Issac into the house as he wags and sniffs away at his new friend. Mom and dad are so nice to let him do so. Some parents would keep their baby away from the dog. Lucky Golden!

You already know that this Golden Retriever will be keeping both his eyes open for baby Isaac. The way he encircles the baby, the way he looks at him and sniffs him says this child has a guardian and friend for life.
He even follows Isaac to his new room. Nothing and no one is going to harm the baby. The Golden boy will make sure of that!
This endearing first meet up is one Isaac can watch when he’s older. This Golden Retriever doesn’t know it, but he’s played a precious part in his family’s life by creating such a loving memory. That is a very good boy.
