Sometimes the world needs a little sweetness. And let’s be honest, just a few minutes of watching something adorable can do wonders for the soul in times when the world looks dark.
Do you know what’s cute without raising arguments about money or politics or any other complicated matters? Puppies.
We are so lucky to have dogs right now, even if just on the Internet (where, to be fair, they’re much easier to deal with sometimes).
This particular puppy-fest involves two grown dogs as well. Best friends, of course. Because why would we give you anything less adorable?
Now, if you’ve ever had a Golden Retriever you know they are made up of pure goodness and light. But have you seen one take on the daddy-ing duties for or befriend a litter of puppies that wasn’t his own?
Seriously. Could they get any more perfect?
But maybe while you appreciate a beautiful Golden, a Husky is more your style.
Well, we have those too.
Mom is a beautiful Husky with the kindest eyes we’ve ever seen.
Her litter of three tiny puppies is so young they are just starting to open their eyes and are still a bit wobbly on their feet. But while they stick close to mom most of the time, there is a human around to boop their little snoots.
Frankly, we’re glad someone did it because we can’t reach into the screen and do it ourselves. We tried.
But the real helper we care about here is this goofy Golden that seems ready to go on puppy duty at any time.
He’ll just show up to find out if he’s needed.
Puppies are a lot of work!
They can’t do anything by themselves, so there’s a lot of help they need from their mommies.
If you’re a dog friend helping out with newborn puppies, we can only imagine that it’s still a pretty amazing show of solidarity for all the care required.
But this Golden seems up to whatever his bestie might need when one of her puppies wanders over.
Now that’s friendship.
But it’s not all dirty chores.
It appears these little pups love being around their Golden “uncle.” And he’s a very trustworthy babysitter that you can count on not to be annoyed when this happens, for example:
We’re pretty sure that doesn’t hurt – or feel like much at all – anyway.
There’s plenty of love in this circle of friends.
And plenty of naps!
As you might imagine, the comments were overwhelmingly joyful.
“Oh it makes your heart melt, so much love. If this wasn’t such a troubled world maybe humans could learn from dogs. Beautiful.”
And in these troubled times, it’s easy to reflect on just what loving creatures dogs are, especially compared to people.
“In such a cruel world, to see something adorable like this is like a shining sky!”
It’s pretty clear that people are in need of some more puppy love these days.
