Dogs really are just like big, furry babies, so it’s sometimes necessary to give them a big of discipline. Dogs would never do anything naughty on purpose, but sometimes they get a bit cheeky or a bit greedy, and the bad thing just ends up happening. But like the good boys they are, they always feel guilty about it after.
That was certainly the case for the dogs in this next video. When one cheeky golden retriever ate his brother’s chewie, he has the cutest reaction to being called out about it, and it’s all captured in this sweet clip! If only humans had souls this pure.
Watson and Kiko live in Spokane, Washington with their human mom, and these brothers truly are the best of friends! The pair often travel the world together (jealous, us?) and their sweet pictures are documented on their Instagram account, wat.ki.
Recently, the brothers’ mom shared the most adorable video of the two pups on their Instagram. It appears that greedy old Watson has eaten both his own chewie and the chewie that was meant for his brother! He’s looking incredibly guilty about it as his owner says:
“Hey Watson, do you understand when I’m talking to you? You do?”
Watson appears to hang his head in shame before his owner continues:
“Okay, so I gave you a chewie, I gave Kiko a chewie. You ate Kiko’s chewie. So what do we say when we steal someone else’s chewie?”
There’s a couple of seconds pause, and then Watson does the most adorable thing. He gets up, walks over to Kiko, and puts his arms around his brother, giving him a huge hug! Both dogs look so sincere and wholesome that we think our hearts might actually burst.
“Yes, we say we’re sorry,” the brothers’ owner says approvingly.
These two pooches have such a sweet bond, it melts our hearts to see! And it turns out that Kiko is going to be needing all the love he can get at the minute, as the brave pooch is fighting cancer and has recently had an operation to remove one of his legs to give him a better chance.
Happily, over a year into his journey, Kiko is still going strong, and his owner reassures us that he “always has his humans and little brother Watson showing him LOVE and support through this new adventure.” We’re glad to hear it!
We’re so glad that we stumbled across these pups on Instagram, and we wish Kiko all the best with his recovery (and being able to eat his chewies before Watson gets in there)!
