For dogs, however, that’s a bit difficult to see because they are so perfect in everything they are and do. But every once in a while, there are dogs who stand out from the rest.

They may not be perfect but through their imperfections, they become more loveable than they already are.
A golden retriever amassed hundreds of thousands of followers because of a “defect”.
His special “flaw” is apparent the moment you open his Instagram account. In the said account where he was introduced as a “pro-napper, sock thiever, long-walk taker, kiss giver, and fuzzy snuggler,” Enzo was also described as “English cream with a lil freckle”.

While other golden retrievers have shiny golden or cream coats, Enzo has a big black splotch on his face like someone dropped a bucket of paint under his eye.
Despite the genetic misfire, Enzo grew up to be a very handsome boy.
He is never afraid to show his playful and curious side, especially when one comes across his Instagram page. You can see that his appearance doesn’t bother him.

In one video, Enzo showed his followers how to do a “rebound”. After missing his first catch, he caught the ball perfectly when it bounced. In another video, his owners showed people how he “talks” to them.

But this level of confidence can be attributed to the family that raised him in a home where his appearance was never an issue.
The Castros own Enzo.
“Enzo has a genetic mutation, his black splotch!” said Clarissa, “We got to meet Enzo and his brothers and we instantly fell in love with Enzo not just because of his marking but because he was the sweetest and most playful puppy,” she added.

Besides the unique pattern on his face, Enzo is very much like any other dog. He loves to play and he loves to show his joy and affection.

“We spend a lot of time playing fetch with him in the back yard or playing with one of his toys inside,” Clarissa said to the Daily Star. “There’s so much to enjoy spending time with him, one of my favorite things is that he often falls asleep while tugging on a toy, he’ll just slowly lay down and rest with the toy in his mouth.”
And you can see that Enzo is living in a house full of love.
They also shared with the new outlet Enzo’s attitude towards life. She said that Enzo loves to follow a routine and never complains about it.

“Ever since he was a puppy Enzo has always loved having a routine – getting up at the same time in the morning, eating his breakfast at the same time, going on a walk at the same time etc,” Clarissa said to the news outlet. “He’s never upset but when given the choice he doesn’t love change.”

As of writing, Enzo has over 197,000 followers on his Instagram account. Truly, this dog proves that there’s nothing wrong with being a little different.
