There’s nothing like seeing parents with their newborns.
It’s such a fascinating experience watching two people who created something so beautiful rejoice in their new, shared responsibility.
Most of the time, we assign those feelings only to humans.
However, many animals feel joy and excitement for their newborns, just like we do.
It’s why mothers care and provide for their newborns just like humans.
The emotional connection is there, and they feel it is their responsibility to care for their young.
Fathers also protect their newborns as well.
Regardless of their role, they both take on the responsibility of being a protector and provider.
A video of two golden retrievers, who have just become parents, has captured hearts worldwide.
The video has over 11 million views and over 150,000 likes. Your heart will melt watching the two with their litter.
The pups are very new to the world.
They can’t open their eyes or use their legs quite yet.
They’re so adorable as they utilize their little motor skills to move about.
The proud mama and papa lay amongst each other, looking lovingly at the new pups as they huddle together.
There are seven of them.
Each wears a different color collar for the owners to identify them.
It’s pretty easy to see the personalities coming out of some of them already.
For example, at the beginning of the video, the puppy with the green collar looks to be making its way away from the huddled group.
While the one on the other end, in a pink collar, attempts to get as inside of the group as possible.
The parents observe the babies as they snuggle, as well as the one that insists on going in the opposite direction.
At one point, the mom even smiles before the scene fades.
The mom is asleep now as Dad watches the little ones.
He must have known that giving birth has taken its toll on her.
He gently places his head on hers as she sleeps.
It’s as if he’s comforting her as she rests.
He’s a keeper!
Before long, the pups are asleep.
Well, at least one of them is.
And boy, does this little one know how to rest!
This little pup rests just under one of their parent’s necks as they both get some much-needed shut-eye.
It’s possibly the cutest thing you’ll see.
As the puppy sleeps, it jumps while dreaming.
Its tongue is out, a sure-fire sign that it’s pretty relaxed.
The video fades and reveals both parents watching their newborns again.
The mom sticks her tongue out as if to smile.
She is so proud of the little ones; she can hardly contain it.
In the end, Mom finally decides to go to sleep. The pups have a feeding while both she and the dad sleep soundly.
Truly, it is a beautiful video.
