There’s no doubt in our minds that you are going to be jealous of Erin Cummings after watching this video.
Not only does she live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, but she also just might have the coolest dog ever. Oh, and as if that weren’t enough to make you green with envy, her and her canine companion are also best friends with a pod of dolphins.
Yep, that’s right. Cummings and her dog Kuta love the water and the dolphins that inhabit it seem to love them, too.
So how did these two get to be friends with a whole pod of dolphins?
First, we have to go all of the way back to how Kuta came into Cummings’ life.
Not too long ago, Kuta’s life wasn’t as carefree and loving as it is now. She was wandering the streets hungry and in poor condition when Cummings’ boyfriend found her. We’re so glad that she’s now in a loving family. She sure does look like a happy pup!
Being a water-loving family, Cummings was excited to bring Kuta paddle boarding with her on the beautiful white sanded beaches of her home in Western Australia. She wasn’t as excited though when Kuta decided to jump off the board to investigate a pod of dolphins swimming nearby.
At first, Cummings was worried about Kuta as she went to find out what the fins in the water were, but now she’s just surprised at how well they’ve gotten along.
“They ended up being best friends,” Cummings told a local news source.
Now when she goes out into the water with Kuta, she doesn’t worry at all when she goes off to swim with her dolphin friends. As for the dolphins, they don’t even seem to be phased by her anymore.
“They’ve brushed her, they’ve touched her, they’ve given her a little nudge.”
Honestly, watching this video is like a dream. Between the scenery and the cool friendship between Kuta and her dolphin friends, you’ll have a hard time believing any of it is real. We promise you, though, it is.
We’re just so happy that Kuta, who started as a stray, now has a wonderful life with a loving family and super cool friends.
