At some point in most of our childhoods, we asked our parents for a pet. Unfortunately, not all parents are open to the idea of having a pet. Sometimes it takes a long time of persuading, and there may be even times that a straight no from them is enough to make you feel disheartened.

Although some parents may say no at first, they might just be holding back to make that idea a surprise, just like what these parents did for their little daughter.
The little girl always asks her parents for a puppy.
Little Miley had been asking her parents for a puppy, but her mom always tells her “no.” The little girl did not give up hope and it became an everyday routine for her to try and persuade her parents to get her a puppy. A child her age, she must be yearning for a playmate.
Also, people had been stuck at home most of the time, which means she can’t meet any of her friends from her neighborhood or even from her school. A puppy could have been perfect, but what could Miley do when her parents tell her “no.”
She didn’t know that they were setting her up with a surprise.
We don’t know if Miley’s parents “no” were real or they changed their mind about it at some point. They must have realized how lonely Miley was without her friends, only to be stuck inside the house with only herself as her playmate. Since Miley had been asking them forever, her parents ended up deciding to surprise her with it.
The best way to wake up in the morning.
When Miley was still fast asleep early in the morning, her parents slowly snuck into her room with a cute little puppy in their hands. They put the puppy beside Miley’s face without her knowing, and the pup started to examine the sleeping girl in front of him.
Miley woke up just after the pup rested on her arm. She didn’t see the puppy at first, but as she glanced down, she had the most priceless reaction ever. The just woken up Miley suddenly had her eyes widely opened as she saw a puppy beside her.
She couldn’t help but cry after receiving her surprise.
Miley was so shocked that she was lost for words for a few seconds. She could only cry while the puppy was climbing up on her chest. She just couldn’t believe that this is what she sees the first thing in the morning. Her happy tears can’t stop falling knowing that her parents just pulled off the perfect surprise for her. Miley couldn’t help but mumble “This is the best day ever” while she hugs her puppy.
Why parents should let their kids have a pet.
There is no reason why kids should not have pets at home. In fact, there are more benefits than drawbacks when you allow your child to have a pet. First, it has a lot of health benefits. Not only they could reduce the risks of your child getting allergies, but pets could also help boost their immune system as well.
Furthermore, pets are your kid’s best companion. They could learn a lot from keeping one, including a sense of responsibility, and most importantly, a healthy companionship.
Therefore, parents should be open to the idea of their kids having a pet, or even encourage them to have one. That way, they could spend their childhood both happy and healthy.
