Ever heard of the animated (1961) and live action version (1996) film One Hundred and One Dalmatians? That’s exactly what the movie is about. Roger Radcliffe and his Dalmatian, Pongo, are bachelors. They meet a woman named Anita and her female Dalmatian, Perdita. What follows is an adventure and a race against a villain until eventually rescuing more puppies, 84 as a matter of fact, adding to Pongo and Perdita’s litter.

Eventually, they all fall in love, move in together and end up with, you guessed it, “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.”

Having so many dogs may seem like a nightmare to some, but to most, it is a piece of heaven and earth. Pick your dog breed of choice and have as many as you want and live happily ever after.

Well, what if there’s a place that you can visit and experience what it’s like having a multitude of dogs of the same breed running and playing around?

Stonehill Kennels is located in Mount Morris, Michigan and for over forty years has bred world class German Shepherds.

They say that,

“Temperament, trainability and health are our number one breeding priorities.”

Well how about 92 German Shepherds, an Aussie, and a Black Labrador Retriever having a play date?

This video posted on their YouTube channel has over 2.6 million views for good reason.

They are a mixture of ages, from eleven weeks to twelve years old and yet they all get along just fine. They say all their dogs excel in whatever field they are put in. Therapy, service, police and security, competitions, and much, much more.

This is one of America’s most popular breeds. The German Shepherd is intelligent and highly capable with unmatched courage and devotion. They make great family dogs and yes, excel in many disciplines. Oh and they are great movie stars too.

Just look at this sea of black and brown furriness on the snow! It really is a piece of heaven on earth!

These play dates are done twice a month and they don’t allow just any dog to join or enter.

Normally, they only allow dogs bred or trained at Stonehill. This is to ensure maximum safety. It allows the staff to check the temperament of each and every dog. Considerations and precautions have been taken and these gatherings have never had a single fight in a span of, well nearly ten years.

This particular social gathering broke the record of the previous one. These dogs have amazing owners who bring back their dogs for a bit of playtime and visit.

German Shepherds do need a lot of activity and exercise as they have tons of energy.

They express their boredom and frustration by barking and chewing. Look at them play around!

This is one job no one would get tired of going to. Such beautiful dogs and if an adventure is require, you’re in good hands! Er… paws. Lots of them.

One trait of this breed is that they have an aloof and suspicious nature. Guests won’t automatically feel welcome and most will feel intimidated by the dark face and serious expression. But if this video is anything to go by… Can’t blame you for wanting a German Shepherd for yourself!
