Introducing a new furry family member to your pets is fun. You get to see their different reactions toward it and you could assess which of your pets will be a better brother or sister to the new one.
In this video, two dogs get to meet a new friend – a rabbit.
Bailey the Golden retriever and Rocky the German shepherd pup get to meet a new addition to their family. However, it is not another dog, but a baby rabbit. The owner wanted to see how his two dogs would react to the rabbit in front of them.
The baby bunny was placed on a couch while Bailey and Rocky were sitting on another couch, which was adjacent to where the bunny was. At first, both the dogs were just watching the curious bunny hop around and examine the surroundings. But then, the playful Rocky could not just sit around and decided to approach the rabbit.
You could see how different Bailey and Rocky are in welcoming a new family member.
Bailey remained on his spot as he quietly observed both Rocky and the bunny. Meanwhile, Rocky was being persistent in trying to get to know the baby rabbit.
The interaction between Rocky and the bunny kicked off with a rough start as Rocky’s bold and playful attitude just annoyed the curious bunny. The bunny then decided to scooch over Bailey as Bailey was calmer and he was just giving off a strong big-brother vibe than Rocky.
Not too long after, the bunny was already comfortable with both of them.
The curious doggos began to follow and sniff the rabbit around while it was staying in between them. The bunny was just clueless about what was going on but he had no other choice but to stick around and tolerate their actions. You could see how the baby rabbit was becoming fond of Rocky’s playfulness and Bailey’s caring attitude.
At first, the bunny was just curious and afraid but it did not take him long to be a little comfortable with both his new canine friends. Besides, both Bailey and Rocky’s attitude creates a balance between their relationship with the bunny; one would be an exciting playmate, while the other will act as the bunny’s doting brother.
The clip was just recently posted on their YouTube channel, This is Bailey, but it is already flooding with views and likes. With adorable dogs like them, who would not be tempted to click on their video?
Bailey would not be as surprised as Rocky to have a bunny around the house.
Before Rocky even came, Bailey was used to seeing rabbits and baby bunnies around their house and it could be one of the reasons why Bailey has a calmer reaction than the enthusiastic Rocky. However, it did not mean that Bailey was not interested in having the bunny, as he clearly loves all the animals his owner introduced him to before.
Fun fact: Bailey met Rocky a month ago and you could see that his reaction to his new German shepherd brother was way more exciting, considering that it was his first time meeting a German shepherd.
