Being a mom to one is tough, but when you’re a dog, you’re a mom to five or more hyperactive little pups.

That is a lot of attention and energy to dedicate to these little guys. All worth it, of course, because they are just so cute.

Some German Shepherd moms have it figured out, like this mom who decided to play with her babies by running around and having the puppies follow her to eventually tire them out.

That tactic definitely seems to work. I love the way the puppies’ cute little paws waddle towards their mom, but she moves fast! It’s adorable the way their heads turn round and round to keep up with her!

Other German Shepherd mamas have a more firm approach. For instance, in the video below, when this mom says it’s time for bed, then it’s time for bed – no if’s, and’s or but’s.

I love the way she turns her head to the pup at the end of the video. It’s as if she’s saying, “I mean it! I’m keeping an eye on you!”

Getting your little one to sleep is one parenting challenge we can all relate with.

But in the end, German Shepherd mothers are just as loving to their babies as any other mother out there, dog or not.

In the clip below, originally captured by Augusto Deoliveira, a Dog Trainer who refers to himself the “German Shepherd pack guy” on Facebook this German shepherd mom spends time with her five little puppies.

You can see how much she loves them as she tries to give each pup equal attention, but there’s only so much of mom to go around.

But in the picturesque green field of grass, it’s nice to watch the mama dote on her babies, and her babies are just as happy to be with her. You can especially see that at the 0:10 mark, when the puppies are quick to chase after mom when they think she is walking away.

I love the way the mom’s tail wags the whole time she’s with her kids. Too cute to watch.

Check out the loving moment below.
