If you do a quick search or ask someone whether it’s a good idea to introduce new puppies to a German Shepherd, the answer will probably be no.

In fact, several studies have concluded that dogs belonging to this breed tend to be more aggressive than your average canine, and there are researches that show that German Shepherds don’t seem to get along with other dogs, let alone puppies.

But this is not a hundred percent true. In fact, in the studies themselves, there have been variations in aggression within the same breed.

This means that you cannot decide whether a dog will be friendly towards puppies only judging by their breed.

When it comes to German Shepherds, in particular, these dogs can display territorial tendencies, but it’s really up to their owner to socialize them and train them properly.

In fact, it seems that, with proper training, dogs belonging to this breed can be really sociable and friendly toward other dogs and small puppies.

And, apparently, Rocky the German Shepherd has been properly trained to get along with puppies.

Rocky’s owner started a YouTube channel when Rocky was a puppy himself.

At the time, his owner uploaded videos like Rocky’s first bath, and then he soon started working on Rocky’s socialization by having him meet various animals, from a cat to a rabbit, chicken, and duck!

Even from the very first encounters, it was obvious that the dog was willing to chill with any other animal. He just enjoyed having company — whether that was two or four-legged.

Apparently, in the meantime, Rocky was being trained, and the results were obvious.

Only a few months ago, Rocky, who is not a puppy anymore but a young adult, met puppies for the first time.

The video, which is no longer than two minutes, soon went viral. To this day, it has been viewed by over 19 million people.

Rocky enters the room and there are five puppies waiting for him.

He looks at them and he smells them until he takes a moment to take a step back and let what he’s looking at sink in.

In the meantime, the puppies don’t stop wagging their tiny tails and getting closer to him to smell and say hi to him.

Once Rocky puts his front paws on the bed where the puppies are again, the adorable puppies get even closer, trying to lick him.

While some of the puppies’ moves take Rocky by surprise, he doesn’t react aggressively, not even for a moment.

He keeps smelling them and getting closer, while trying to find out what the tiny animals are exactly.

YouTube users loved the video and were amazed by the dog’s reaction.

“I like how he is greeting them one by one…that’s priceless,” someone commented.
