Road trips are awesome, AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING. People are always taking these dry road trips and sitting in a silent car, then have the audacity to say, “I don’t like them.” It’s disrespectful, to be honest. This girl and her dog know exactly what is up when it comes to road-tripping.

If you don’t go on road trips stocked with ideas for the ride, you are missing out.

First of all, curated playlists are the best. Take the 20 minutes and create your own special playlist with at least a few hours of your best content. With Spotify and Apple Music available nowadays, you have no reason not to.

The second thing you need to do is have some friends in the car.

In a recent video, we get to see exactly how to go about a long car ride or road trip. A woman was driving and brought her dog along. While having a human is great for the conversation, a doggy friend will do in a pinch. Lola is a Shiloh Shepherd and knows how to party on the road, as we will see later.

Once you have your playlist and your friend in the car, you can go ahead and start your trip.

Obviously, pack snacks and water bottles (go easy on the water, though). The time will fly by as you move from one town to the next. There is, however, one moment that everyone encounters while on road trips. It’s at this moment that having a friend becomes paramount.

A few hours in, there will inevitably be the road-trip-lull.

This is usually about 3/4ths of the way to your destination when you have nearly exhausted your playlists, and you are starting to get real antsy in your seat. It’s at this moment that you need to pull out your secret weapon that is only possible if you have your friend in the car – The Karaoke Song.

When the lull hits, you hit right back!

You ALWAYS reserve one song from your playlists that you know gets you and your friend hype. When you feel like the lull is stretching for a bit too long, you add “the song” to your queue and just wait for the dynamite to go off.

Annie, the woman in the red shirt, knows what’s about to happen.

In this viral video, we get a detailed look into what it looks like when the hype song comes on. Lola is asleep in the back (not a good look for the co-pilot) when Annie starts singing along. The song? We are the Champions by Queen. You can’t get better than that.

The sleeping dog immediately wakes up to join his friend!

With howling, singing, and pure joy, the two karaoke themselves into a better mood! The crisis of the road trip lull has successfully been averted! Howling and singing back and forth, the two can’t help but have a ton of fun.

Annie has a road trip buddy that she can count on.

Annie has something special with Lola! Not every dog would be willing to wake up from a nap just to have a singing sesh with their owner. While we don’t know how much longer the road trip is, we do know that they have gotten over the worst part.
