I’ve never seen a cat more humanlike in my life.

Cats, as felines, normally stand on all four legs, although they can sometimes stand up on their two hind legs.

Even though seeing a cat standing on two legs like a human looks funny and cute, there are a few reasons that might be hiding behind this act. And some of them are quite serious.

As experts explain, one of those reasons may be that the cat feels threatened by a predator or that they just want some more head petting, and standing up like that is a sign to the owner that it’s time for some head boop.

Another reason why this may happen is a genetic mutation that can be found in munchkin cats, who are born with short, stumpy legs.

For these cats, standing up on their hind legs makes them more stable.

However, experts agree that standing up on two legs can hurt cats and lead to pelvic injuries.

In any case, watching a kitty standing up like a human is always cute and puts a smile on your face.

That’s why George the cat became so famous a few years ago, when his owners shared videos and photos of him standing on his hind legs.

As soon as Andrew, George’s dad, posted pictures of him on Reddit in April 2015, the kitty went viral and within the next couple of days, he was internet famous.

His owners created social media accounts on his behalf and thousands of people started following his adventures.

“In terms of personality, George2legs is an incredibly sweet orange, fluffy munchkin/exotic shorthair boy cat. He spends the majority of his days lounging, playing and cuddling. He adores people, loves attention and is a total purr machine,” his humans wrote on his official website.

In a video shared on YouTube by Inside Edition, it is explained that, although some people believed that he was standing up because he was in pain, this was not really the case.

George has always enjoyed standing up like his humans do- ever since he was a kitten.

And, while he shared the house with several humans and a couple of pugs, he was no doubt the alpha male.

An orange kitty standing on two legs and ready to conquer the world? Sounds good to us.

People have expressed their love repeatedly over the last few years. They just find him so sweet and adorable.

“Omg hes freaking adorable!!!!! seriously too cute for words!!!!” someone wrote, while another YouTube user commented: “He looks like a combo of garfield, grumpy cat, and a ball of stinkin cute floof ball”

Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, George’s social media have not been active anymore.

His Facebook page seems to be unavailable and his owners haven’t posted about him since May 2020.

Many of his fans started wondering if he was fine. Others even suggested the cat has passed.

We hope that this is not true and that the family and their cat are all fine.

They may not post new pics anymore, but we’ll always have his older videos where we can enjoy his adorable personality.
