For right now, we’ll all in this pandemic issue together. For millions of individuals, that means working from home. Without access to files, office equipment, and even other employees to turn to in an instant, everything’s a challenge. But making things more difficult is that many of these people have pets.
Okay, so there’s a huge advantage of getting to spend quality time with your pet. Instead of cuddling, napping, and playing after you come home from work, you can do those things during the day. On the other hand, animals quickly become accustomed to having mom or dad home. Even though they get more spoiling than usual, they don’t understand why you can’t give them all of your attention…all day.
These 50 pets are adorable but they also make working from home difficult.
This guy is simply trying to respond to an email. But nope, his dog has an entirely different idea. “How about I just give you a big hug and lots of kisses instead?” The email wasn’t that important anyway
Good grief. This owner hasn’t even been working from home that long and already, her adorable pup has taken over. But hey, if he can answer the phone, work on the computer, and deal with angry customers, maybe that’s a good thing.
3. “How am I supposed to concentrate?
Although this cat is super cute…with a face like that, how on earth is its owner supposed to get anything done. The persistent stare is bad enough but those eyes…they make you feel a little dizzy.
4. Boundaries? What boundaries?
This sweet kitty doesn’t care what his owner is doing. If she’s going to stay home to work, then by golly, he’s going to be right in the thick of things.
5. That pretty much sums it up
Talk about an attitude. It seems like this pup isn’t too happy with her owner focusing completely on work. Shouldn’t she be showering her furry friend with love 24/7?
…this cat’s owner would be six-foot under. Now that’s a scary stare. Either this owner forgot to feet his kitty or she’s mad he’s not paying any attention to her. We’re kind of leaning toward the latter.
This beautiful cat is forcing his mom to take a break. “Yep, if I stand on her computer, she can’t work.” Considering this furry friend is so gorgeous and determined, there’s a good chance he’ll succeed.
8. How do you refuse that face?
This dog is making his mom’s time at home quite difficult. She needs to get work done but with a sad face like that, it’s hard to resist cuddling. We have to give him kudos, he nailed it.
Cats are just so darn cute it’s hard to ignore them. But this sweet kitty turned a normal conference call into a disaster. I wonder what the people on the line thought when they kept hearing strange purring sounds.
10. Just trying to be helpful
This pet owner explained that after only an hour of working at home, her black cat had already added additional bookmarks to her browser. Hey, he was only trying to help and who knows, maybe those bookmarks will come in handy.
It’s bad enough when your cat sits in your chair, climbs on your computer, and tries to sleep in your lap while you’re working from home. But no, he has to drink your coffee too. In about 10 minutes, this owner won’t get anything done.
12. Two for the price of one
If you thought it was difficult working from home with one cat, try two. With two balls of fur on the computer, there’s no telling how long it’ll take to finish that report. The boss will just have to wait.
13. It’s a staring contest
Can you imagine seeing this face every time you looked up from your computer? Okay, she’s incredibly cute. But now’s not the time for a staring contest…you’d probably lose anyway.
How could a small guinea pig make working from home hard? He’s tiny and doesn’t require a lot of attention. Really? You try placing this kind of pet near your desk and see what happens.
This owner finally found a comfortable place to work, pillow included. But after going to the restroom, he comes back only to discover his pet had taken control. And by the looks of it, she doesn’t plan to move any time soon.
16. It’s time for some earmuffs
With a precious kitty at his feet…meowing every five seconds…there was no way this individual was going to meet his work’s deadline. This cat is either hungry or incredibly needy. On the other hand, maybe it’s just being a cat.
17. Not the side-eye glance
We have to admit, this is hysterical. This pup just couldn’t accept that his owner had to work while at home. The audacity. Just look at that face — you can only imagine what he was thinking.
18. Productivity level – zero
When you have a dog as cute as this one, it’s no wonder its owner struggled to get any business-related work accomplished. Now might be the perfect time for both of them to take a nap.
19. Did you hear the one about the goat in a diaper?
Not all pets are cats and dogs. This owner preferred something a little more diverse. So, she has a goat that wears a diaper. With that animal in the house, we understand why getting anything done is challenging.
With those sad, pleading eyes, the man who owns this dog struggles to complete his tasks. This dog’s look would make anyone feel guilty about working. We hope he doesn’t have an overly demanding job.
When you have a cat staring at you over the top of your computer, you might as well call it a day. We can see why this owner had such a difficult time working from home.
You can almost hear this cat’s thoughts “I’m okay, keep on working.” We know that kitties get into really weird positions but something like this would disrupt anyone’s day.
23. She’s eager to assist
This sweet pup probably just wants to help her owner. But the stare, the panting, and the dog breath make focusing tough…even on simple tasks.
“Oh, you need these documents to do your work? Too bad, you can’t have them. Not today, Karen.”
25. So, what’s the problem?
It looks like this kitty isn’t used to his human being home all day. So, she’s going to take advantage of every second by causing as many distractions as possible.
26. A different perspective
With so much stress right now, having a demanding pet while trying to work from home can make things worse. But one person has a different perspective. Even though he has to take a lot of breaks, his dog and cat are helping him cope during the COVID-19 pandemic so he doesn’t mind the interruptions.
27. Who can work with this guy around?
This puppy is so cute, the owner can’t help but give her a lot more attention than she should. Hopefully, she works for a company with lenient rules.
28. Something doesn’t seem right
This individual quickly learned that typing left-handed while having a sweet dog in her lap taking the nap of a lifetime isn’t very productive. But with cuteness overload, how do you resist?
With a big ball of yellow fur in her face, let’s hope this person is an excellent typist. Otherwise, the recipient of her email could end up with a message that makes no sense. That won’t earn her any points with the boss.
30. At least he’s sleeping…for now
But we have the feeling this nap didn’t last long enough. The minute this pup woke up, his owner was probably turning his attention away from work and onto walks and belly rubs.
German Shepherds are super smart and they’re always eager to learn new things. So, you can’t blame this girl, she just wanted to see what her human did all day. The only problem, her cuteness is a major distraction.
32. Which would you rather?
Spend time playing with and feeding your precious hedgehog or working? Okay, that one’s a no-brainer. But it never hurts to weigh your options.
This owner explained that her cat started pouting because she wouldn’t let him sit on her computer. On a side note — what’s up with kitties and keyboards anyway?
Not only is this cat blocking his owner from seeing the computer screen but did you notice the size of his body? Maybe he’s getting too many extra meals and treats during the quarantine. Just a thought.
35. Nope…not answering it
Do you get the feeling if this cat’s owner answers the phone something really bad is going to happen? Yeah, we do too. Those squinted eyes say it all.
This kitty looks a little mischievous…let’s rephrase that…a lot mischievous. We bet his owner has her hands full. It’s no wonder she’s behind schedule on all her work.
We’re not sure, but from the look of things, we’d say this cat gets pretty much whatever he wants. That means his owner has little time to focus on work responsibilities that’ll, well, pay the bills. Hey kitty, that includes money to buy your food.
38. The answering service
For some people, their duties while working from home involve making and receiving phone calls. But when you have a large dog that likes to sing every time the phone rings…we’ll, we can only imagine how hard that would be.
One dog owner was feeling a little overwhelmed. She needed to work but her dog wouldn’t allow it. So, after trying just about everything, she placed him inside her jacket…eureka.
40. It’s a natural attraction
We don’t know why animals are so attracted to computers but they are. For this owner, her dog insisted on being part of her workday…things didn’t work out too well. She had to fire him.
41. A different kind of issue
For one owner, having their pet snake slither all over the computer made it difficult to work. It just goes to show that all kinds of animals are begging for attention during the pandemic.
42. “I’ll get attention from someone else”
Not happy about being pushed away all day, this cat decided he’d find someone else to cuddle with. But his owner didn’t anticipate it’d be a doll.
This owner thought by wrapping her cat in a towel, it would help keep him quiet so she could focus on her work. This was his response. I guess he put his mom in her place.
44. “Just five minutes, please?”
The owner of this pup couldn’t resist when she brought him her favorite ball. As long as he can limit the number of times that they play catch, he’ll be just fine.
Maybe this cat thought her white fur would blend in so perfectly with the keyboard that her owner wouldn’t even see her. Guess what, kitty. It didn’t work.
How was this person supposed to get work done with those puppy dog eyes staring back at them? Sometimes, it’s not the loud and active animals that make working from home so difficult.
47. An abundance of cuteness
This cat’s owner explained it wasn’t bad behavior that created a distraction. Instead, it was her kitty’s overwhelming cuteness that made tackling work challenging. We agree…this is one adorable ball of fur.
48. Sending a clear message
Those eyes are sending a message this owner can’t miss. “You better spend time cuddling and playing with me or you’ll be in a lot of trouble.” Hey, cat, we hate to inform you but if your human doesn’t get his work done, he’ll be in even bigger trouble. Nice try though.
It looks as though this kitty is trying to convince his owner that the workday is over. The problem — it’s only 9:00 a.m. Only seven more hours to go. Boy, this self-quarantine stuff is super hard.
50. Silliness trumps work
At least in this pup’s mind, it does. Yes, acting silly is cute but it doesn’t have any effect on the work your mom needs to finish. Try taking a nap.
