This is just too cute.

Scottish Terriers, also known as “Scotties,” are small but feisty dogs. They’re recognizable for their short legs and adorable “beards.”

But a pair of Scottie breeders in Colorado posted a video that shows one of their more unique talents – forming a pinwheel.

Scottie energy

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Nigel, and Anneliese are the 6 puppies in question.

And if we could figure out how to turn them into a source of energy we would!

It turns out these puppies REALLY love their goat’s milk and drink it together each day out of the same big, round bowl.

But since puppies are always on the move and constantly sniffing whatever’s next to them while they’re scarfing down what’s in front of them, the puppies go mobile in an adorably unique way.

As mom says hello to them all, they look up at her expectantly.

As she sets down the bowl and pours in the milk they hear what was likely the familiar term “Scottie Pinwheel!” Then they all take their places.

Each of the puppies then runs to find a place at the bowl.

Put a spin on it

As the puppies lap up their milk, they begin to spin.

That is, they begin to all move around in a little circle, lapping up the milk while walking around the bowl. It’s quite a sight to see in motion!

They’ll all eventually go to new homes, so this is the kind of thing that can only happen when they’re all living together in a group.

When the original video was posted, people went wild for it. It’s now up to over 6.3 million views and counting!

“This is the most adorably hilarious things I’ve seen in the whole world,” gushed one commenter.

And we cannot disagree.

The farewell

A second video, posted in February, was titled “Scottie Pinwheel Farewell.” It showed the dogs together one last time making their pinwheel before they headed off to their new homes.

They look a little bigger, but not by much.

And every pup got an introduction in the follow-up. Now we can see just how cute each and every one of them are up close.

Of course, they’re purebreds and family, so they look largely alike. But no one is going to complain at more puppy photos!

Scottie love

“This is the cutest thing I have ever seen!” said one commenter.

And she wasn’t alone. In fact, we’re willing to bet that many of those 6.3 million views are repeats. It’s just so fun to watch these puppies spin!

“This needs to be the humane societies’ websites loading indicator,’ joked another commenter.

And we’re totally on board with that suggestion! In fact, we’d be a lot less frustrated to wait for things to load if the “spinning wheel” were actually a Scottie Pinwheel!

In one final act of cuteness before their adoption, their breeders showed them playing out in the snow. And now we know we need one!
