Siblings will bicker over almost anything, and this doesn’t exclude dog siblings. In this adorable video, we see two seven-year-old Great Danes named Max and Katie argue over who should be able to snuggle with their human dad on the couch.

The video starts with Max trying to convince his dad to let him on the couch to snuggle.

As the dad is trying to relax on the couch, Max comes over and puts his big head on his chest, and his dad knows exactly what he wants. At first, to appease Max, he scratches his head, to which the mom who is filming acknowledges that’s one of Max’s favorite things.

She also acknowledges how cute he looks in his brand new camo shirt, and we totally agree. As the video plays on, the head scratches stop satisfying Max, and he wants to join his dad on the couch. I mean, there has to be room for both of them, right?

As Max is trying to wiggle his way onto the couch, here comes Katie!

Katie comes up to the couch as well, wanting the same thing as her brother, and as the mom says,

“Who’s going to get on the couch with dad first? Somebody’s got to get up.”

As soon as the mom says that, Max turns to Katie and tells her to back off!

He was there first after all and had been trying to work his way up. Katie doesn’t back down, though, and with a low growl, she tells Max, he’s my dad too! Soon it turns into a blown-out argument between the two siblings.

Katie soon walks away for a split second, and Max seizes the opportunity.

As soon as Katie walks away and their dad moves up his legs, Max slowly but surely secures his position on the couch. He is a full-grown Great Dane, so it takes him a minute to squeeze onto the couch after all. Seeing the two of them sharing the couch is a hilarious and cute sight to see.

Then we pan to Katie on the loveseat by herself, but it doesn’t seem like anyone would fit on that loveseat with her. She is upset, though, losing the argument with her brother and not snuggling with dad. Maybe next time Katie will win the argument!

This must be a constant argument in this household as the loveseat is only big enough for two people or one Great Dane!

Max and Katie grew up together and grew old together.

Sadly, Max and Katie passed away within six weeks of each other in 2018, just showing the bond dogs have with one another; they came from the same litter and were for sure actual siblings. They were a part of a litter of nine puppies and never spent a day apart.

Although the owners didn’t expect Max to join Katie so soon and wanted them to live forever as all pet owners do, they know they are playing and bickering together in doggie heaven.
