When it comes to having a pet that could give you lots of affection whether you want it or not, dogs are the best pet to have for this reason. Even though dogs each have different personalities, this affectionate trait is something that is common to all of them.
The most loving dog award goes to…

Dogs may be called the “man’s best friend” but this particular corgi is best friends with everyone. This corgi’s name is Wallace, and he is probably the gentlest and most loving corgi that you would ever meet. Noah Raminick, Wallace’s fur-parent, admits that every time he goes out with Wallace for a walk, his pup would not hesitate to stop by and share his special way of affection with every dog he comes across.

As the year-old Wallace struts on the street with his owner, he would always stop to greet his friends with a big hug.
“He first hugged his friend Charlie and we were blown away,” Remnick told The Dodo. “Then he did it to a few other dogs he knows well and we realized it was a ‘thing.’”
Big or small, all deserves a hug from this corgi.

However, not only his friends get sweet hugs; Wallace also tries to make new friends with it. Whenever Wallace spots another pup, he would approach the pup first and sniff him or her out.
Wallace would only give his special hugs until he feels like the pup is comfortable enough with him.

Moreover, size does not matter to him. When he comes to hug Daisy, his Great Dane friend, he would stand up on his hind legs and put his tiny legs around her. Although Daisy’s big paw outweighs the stout corgi, Wallace was never bothered with it one bit. While for smaller dogs, Wallace tries to be as gentle as possible, making sure that they would be ok with being hugged.

Times are rough and each of us deserves to get a hug. Wallace probably understands this, which is why he never fails to grab the opportunity to share his love with others. Despite his stout figure and little arms, he sure knows how to share his biggest and heart-melting affection.

Of course, he shows his love and appreciation not only to his dog friends and other human acquaintances but also to his loving family who nurtured him the best way possible.
His family is definitely happy with how he spreads love to everyone, giving them a good enough reason to smile for the rest of the day.

This unique personality is something Wallace developed on his own.

The best thing about Wallace’s habit of giving hugs is that it was not something that Raminick taught or trained him to do. He was probably surprised the first time he saw Wallace give hugs to another dog.

“I think it comes down to him being really excited about playing with another dog,” Raminick said.
Whether it was something that came along with his heart-shaped nose during birth or perhaps a trait that Wallace picked up overtime all by himself, it just shows that he is one big, lovable soul trapped in a corgi’s body.
