Everyone, meet Chó. Chó is a 3-year-old cat who lives with his owner, Le Quoc Phong, in Hai Phong, Vietnam.
Chó is a special kitty for a few reasons; for one, Chó actually means ‘dog’ in Vietnamese. Two, Dog has the dream job of working alongside his owner at the fish market. And three, Le Quoc Phong dresses Dog up in adorable costumes and shares them with the world. They are absolutely amazing and we are totally obsessed.
Almost every single day, Le Quoc Phong heads down to the local market to sell fish and other goods. Although there are dozens of fish vendors to buy from, Le Quoc Phong has a special attraction – Dog.
What makes Dog so lovable and adorable is the fact that he’s super outgoing and he doesn’t seem to mind that his owner dresses him up in various costumes. Of course, seeing a cute cat in a costume would make anyone want to stop and chat.
Dog is a Scottish Fold who loves going to work with his dad. Le Quoc says he’s an amazing work partner, but also a wonderful friend and snuggle buddy.
Dog has started gain quite the fan base. When he started gaining popularity at the local market, Le Quoc decided to set up an Instagram account for him. Since the account was opened, Dog has amassed almost 30,000 followers!
So, why is Dog named Dog? Le Quoc says it’s because he acts like one! He pants with his mouth open all the time and loves attention.
“Dog loves ice cream, traveling and sleeping,” Le Quoc Phong told Bored Panda. “He also has a lot of girlfriends and a lot of children in the country.”
Funny enough, Dog isn’t crazy about shrimp. Maybe because he’s around it all day long.
When Dog isn’t selling fish and shrimp, he might be selling meat or vegetables. No matter what he’s selling, it’s guaranteed that he’s going to be looking adorably dapper. There’s no way you could avoid stopping to say hello.
After work is over, you will probably find Dog wearing something a bit more stylish and fancy.
But, in his free time, Dog also likes to help out by directing traffic. Another hobby is dressing in fun costumes like a pirate or superhero. There really isn’t an outfit that Dog can’t pull off. He’s quite the trendsetter.
His outfits really just depend on his mood that day.
There’s no doubt that every single picture brings a smile to your face.
Dog will never turn down a nice dinner out at a nice restaurant.
“My little cat loves taking pictures. He’s also very cooperative when wearing the costumes,” Le Quoc said, assuring those who might think he’s uncomfortable. “Dog feels very cosy [in these costumes] and can walk normally.”
It’s not surprising that Dog is a total ladies’ man.
Despite all of the costumes, attention, and his name, Dog’s favorite thing is just being a cat.
Keep up with Dog, his costumes, and his adventures by following him on Instagram.
