The LGBT Community has been fighting their entire lives for due respect to be given to them. Sadly, there are still a lot of people who know nothing but to discriminate against them for their chosen sexual orientation.

What’s even sadder about this is that humans are not the only species that get judged for being either gay, lesbian, or bisexual. As ridiculous as this may sound but this dog had no escape from the judgemental eyes of people, let alone his owners.

Meet Fezco, the dog who got dumped for being ‘gay’.

Just earlier this month, Fezco’s story circulated online and on local news channels. This poor dog was abandoned by his previous owners at a local animal shelter because they suspected him of being ‘gay’.

According to them, Fezco had been humping another male dog, thus resulting in them to had such a conclusion about the dog’s gender.

They decided to leave him at the Stanly County Animal Protective Services in Albemarle, North Carolina. It must’ve been so hard for him to understand the situation, he had no clue why his previous owners dumped him like trash.

The animal shelter decided to share Fezco’s tragic story on their Facebook page, and soon after, life started to turn in his favor.

As expected, Fezco’s story made quite a stir online. A lot of people were so disappointed with the previous owners and couldn’t believe the dog was abandoned for such a ridiculously lame reason.

In fact, according to ASPCA, this behavior is completely normal.

“They mount and thrust against other animals, people and objects, such as wadded-up blankets, dog beds and toys. Sometimes, dogs just rub against people or objects (without mounting them), or they lick themselves.”

When one door closes, another one opens, and that’s what exactly happened to Fezco.

He probably had charmed a lot of people not only because of his story but also of his charisma. To no surprise, it didn’t take long before someone contacted the shelter for adoption requests.

They penned the good news on their social media account and announce that Fezco was being adopted!

“We would like to give a special thank you to Greater Charlotte SPCA for taking Fezco into their rescue! Thankfully, they had a previous adopter step up, and Fezco has been ADOPTED!!! Thank you GCSPCA for making this possible!”

The perfect parents for Fezco.

According to WCCB Charlotte, he was adopted by Steve Nichols and his partner John – a lovely gay couple. They’ve been together for 33 years and they can absolutely relate to Fezco because they’ve also been discriminated against and judged their entire life for being gay.

“We’ve been subject to that kind of bigotry and ignorance throughout our lives together, and we couldn’t always do anything about it. We looked at each other and said, we can do something about this,” Steve said during a live interview with WCCB Charlotte.

He also added that it’s just perfect for a gay dog to be adopted by a gay family and we couldn’t agree more with that! Fezco will surely enjoy being with his new parents who are proud members of the LGBT Community.

They eventually renamed the dog Oscar, a popular gay poet.

From now on, Oscar will be forever loved and his existence is going to be celebrated. And whether he is ‘gay’ or not, nobody will judge him this time.

Love has no gender and the video below will prove this, so make sure to watch it.
