They don’t call it a catwalk for nothing.
Models at a fashion show in Turkey recently shared the runway with a kitty cat.
The feline’s catwalk was caught on video during Istanbul’s Esmod International Fashion Show.
But it wasn’t a planned part of the show.
The cat just randomly wandered on stage and no one knows where she came from.
“Everybody was in shock,” fashion designer Göksen Hakkı Ali told The Dodo.
And this cat was putting on quite the show.
First, she stopped to groom herself in the middle of the runway.
But then she saw her competition approaching. She didn’t like that.
And that’s when she got a little bit catty.
As the other women strutted by her, she pawed at the models.
Apparently, she doesn’t like anyone stealing her thunder on the catwalk.
When she’s on stage she owns that catwalk.
Anyone else better be ready to fight.
The best part about it is that the models are stonecold faced the entire time.
They pretend that the cat isn’t even there.
Eventually, the pretty kitty then does her little walk down the catwalk in front of the other models.
She actually looks like she’s apart of the runway show at this point.
When The Dodo asked if the cat might have a future as one of Hakki Ali’s models she said: “Haha, maybe. Why not?”
So this feline might have a bright career ahead of her.
I mean, people on social media were going crazy over this cat, so the fashion industry should give the people what they want.
“This is the best thing I have ever seen. A cat on the catwalk!” said one person on Instagram.
“I have a cat just like this one. Lemonade performs magic on a regular basis but jeez, looks like he went to a fashion show in Turkey, all the way from N. Carolina,” said another.
“Cat on a catwalk,” said Twitter user Rita Panahi. “Best bit is when it struts down the runway & tries to scratch a model. Peak catting.”
“The cat is the most beautiful model,” said another Twitter user.
The video was viewed almost half a million times on Instagram and 1.64 million times on Twitter.
The cat basically stole the entire show. And people were not upset about it. You can watch this cat do her thing on the catwalk in the video below.
