Parents get to see their children go from being tiny to being full grown adults. The same is true with pet owners. Still, in the same way that we grow up and never truly feel like adults, the same could be true of pets who start small and end up enormous. We’ve heard a lot of stories like this before but the one we’ve found today might take the cake.

The young man in the video is proud dog owner Matthew Modist while his companion’s name is Dozer. Dozer is a Saint Bernard, a breed notorious for producing enormous dogs. Still, these animals are also known as gentle giants for their warm hearts and gentle demeanors. For comparison’s sake, an eight-week-old Saint Bernard puppy might weight 14 or 15 pounds. Dozer is now full grown and weighs about 240.

As with many adult Saint Bernards, many of them truly believe they are still lapdogs long after they’ve outgrown their tiny status. As this video shows, Dozer still wants to be Matthew’s lapdog and where’s there’s a will, there’s a way. There’s not a whole lot to explain on this one—you’ll have to watch for yourself to see just how committed Dozer is to staying a baby forever.

Although the story here is pretty simple, what makes it so heartwarming is the abiding love shared between Modist and his best friend Dozer. Seeing these two together is about as adorable as viral clips get, but it’s also a reminder of how important it is to stay young—if not in the body, then at least in the mind. We don’t know about you, but Dozer and Modist are basically our relationship goals at this point.
