A lot of people know that cats and dogs don’t get along all the time. Cats are generally grumpy and lazy while dogs are outgoing and active creatures. Their differences in personalities and traits create conflicts at times.
However, that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for cats and dogs to live harmoniously with each other. They can actually live peacefully at home as long as their personalities don’t clash. How’s that possible?
Well, that’s actually hard to explain. Just take a look at these photos of dogs who think they’re cats to know what it means.
1. Growing up with two cats
This dog and the two other cats in this home get along well. In fact, they tend to share things- cat things- everytime. They even share the same napping spot.
2. The unexpected guest
The cats have been wondering who’s the unexpected guest in their cat tree. When they found out who it was, they were clearly shocked and surprised.
3. Too big
That’s one enormous cat. The family should consider getting a bigger cat tree for him
4. The cat bed
The human bought a new cat bed. Upon seeing it, the dog decided that it was going to be his bed. He’s trying to make himself fit just to justify his decision.
5. Very supportive
The cat recently gave birth and the dog has been very supportive of the new mother. She even volunteers to look after the little kittens from time to time.
6. Over the fence
You can’t install a fence in your yard and expect the cat to stay inside it all the time. It will jump over the fence just like what this one did.
7. Hanging out in the kitchen
There are two good reasons why this cat likes to hang out in the kitchen. 1.) The counter is cold. 2.) It’s where the treats are hidden.
8. Sneaky
The dog has a thing for rooftops. He always finds a way to get there without his humans noticing him. To avoid scaring and confusing the neighbors, his human had to distribute flyers to let everyone know about his habit.
9. Inside a box
This dog doesn’t realize that he’s too big for the box. Moreover, he doesn’t realize that he’s a dog and not a cat.
10. Normal
Some dogs are naturally adventurous, like this one. He likes to hang on the fence. I guess he likes to live on the edge quite literally.
11. Thankful
See that face? That’s the look of gratitude. The dog was thankful that the cat allowed him to sleep in that spot.
12. Challenge
The dog wanted to be a part of the cats’ group. This was their very first challenge for him- to sit like one of them.
13. Siblings
The cat was kind enough to share his space with the dog. Well, that’s not surprising. It’s what siblings do, right?
14. Confusing
The people from this institution thought they were picking up a dog. Little did they know that they were actually picking up an impatient cat.
15. In the pond
For some reason, this dog likes to sit in the pond and watch the fishes swim. It’s either he finds it therapeutic or he’s planning something evil.
16. Family picture
This is the best family photo I’ve seen. Everyone was looking at the camera and no one was showing off a funny face.
17. Hobby
This dog has a strange hobby. He likes to watch the fishes swim as if he’s a cat watching his next meal.
18. A cat door
Dogs don’t really care what type of door you install at home. Whether it’s a cat door or a doggy door, they will find a way to stick their heads through it.
19. No care
The dog doesn’t care if he looks odd in that spot. He’s found a nice bed to take a nap and that’s all that matters to him.
20. How?
This dog’s human got two things to think about. A.) How did he manage to get up there? B.) How can he go down?
21. When you see it…
You’re not seeing things. That’s actually a dog right up there!
22. All good
Don’t worry. The dog is fine. The cats aren’t holding him hostage.
23. Replacement
Dogs are man’s best friend. They make excellent companions and travel buddies. At times, they make awesome replacements for cats, too. This dog is a good example.
24. Watching the neighbors
He likes to spend the entire day sitting near the window to watch the neighbors. He’ll take a nap once he gets sleepy. After waking up, he’ll do the exact same things again.
25. Odd
This human is having a hard time getting used to seeing the neighbor’s dog behave this way. Well, you couldn’t blame him. I’d probably feel the same way because dogs aren’t supposed to sit like that.
26. Delivery
I didn’t know it’s possible to send cute packages like this one. I’d be thrilled to receive this on my doorstep. That’s one seriously cute cat in a box.
27. No difference
This dog doesn’t mind if his sibling is a cat. For him, he’s also a cat. and they get along really well. They even share things at home.
28. Clingy
This “cat” is quite clingy. He doesn’t like it when his human works on his laptop. He’ll distract him in any way he can.
29. Fully transformed
The pieces of evidence are overwhelming. You’d have a hard time convincing this human that his dog hasn’t turned into a cat.
30. The litter box
Don’t judge. It’s not his fault. Cats are naturally inclined to use a litter box when doing their business.
31. Conclusion
They have the same color and they like the same things. They even behave in the same way. Considering that, it’s safe to assume that they are both cats.
32. A big cat
This is what happens when a dog grows up with four cats. He ends up acting like one.
33. Clingy
Cats aren’t the only clingy pets. Dogs can show the same behavior, too. Sometimes, they can be more intrusive than cats.
34. Just looking out
This big guy likes to sit on the table to look out the window. He’s probably checking out if any squirrels are paying their garden a visit.
35. A natural
This adorable pooch doesn’t just think he’s a cat; he acts like one, too! He was able to climb that cat tree like he was naturally born to do it.
36. Favorite spot
This dog likes to sit near the window. It’s probably the best spot at home to watch squirrels and birds.
37. Feeling small
This dog doesn’t know how big he is. All he wants is to sit on his human’s lap like he’s a tiny cat.
38. Not for dogs
He probably doesn’t know how that post is used. Moreover, I don’t think the dog knows that it’s not for him.
39. The couch
Dogs like to own as much space as possible, particularly when it comes to the bed or the couch. Considering that, these two are clearly not dogs. They are cats.
40. Enough
The cat has had enough. He gave up explaining to the dog that they’re not the same. He even surrendered his post to the pooch.
41. Forgotten
The dog forgot how to be one. He’s been behaving like a cat ever since his brother came into the picture.
42. Those ears
It’s hard to say if this big boy is a cat or a bunny. Just look at those ears!
43. No response
This dog refused to respond no matter how many times his human called his name. He thinks he’s a cat and he’s not letting his human consider him as a dog.
44. Puzzled
He’s quite confused about his human’s reaction. He’s a cat so it’s normal for him to be up there.
45. Hanging out
The dog has been seeing the cat hang out with their human on the couch a lot of times. He tried imitating him once and he’s been doing it ever since.
46. In the bathroom
Cats don’t have any sense of personal space. They will stay close to you even when you’re using the toilet.
47. Not so happy
For the dog, being close to his brother is the best thing on Earth. For the cat, it’s a different story. He doesn’t look too happy to share the cat tree with the dog.
48. Convincing the cat
The dog is trying his best to convince the cat that they’re alike. He’s even showering him with lots of hugs and kisses. Despite his best attempt, the cat was still not convinced.
49. No space for cats
He’s not interested in sharing things, particularly cat things. He likes to think that he’s the only cat around the house.
50. A typical cat
Cats have a reputation for always invading their human’s space. So yes, thst’s definitely a cat right there.
51. Climbing a tree
Dogs can do a lot of things, like swimming, running, and jumping. They can be trained to sit, stay, and stand, too. I don’t think climbing is included in their list.
52. The cat pose
You don’t always get to see a dog sit this way. Known as the loaf pose, it’s the typical way cats sit. If you find your dog looking this way, you should start thinking about your dog’s true identity.
53. Not working
Cats are flexible. They can get through the cat door without any problem. This dog doesn’t fully understand how cat doors work.
54. First time
He often hears the cats talk about how great empty boxes are. This was his first time being inside one and I think he liked it.
55. Seriously?
The cat is clearly not happy with the dog following him around. He’s also pissed that the pooch is sleeping on his favorite couch.
