Animals dressed up in costumes are the cutest. They might not be thrilled about the idea, but there’s something about a puppy dressed as a ferocious lion that is the most adorable thing of all time. Whether it’s a puppy, a cat, or an iguana — seeing the creative ideas that people come up with for their pet’s costumes is seriously impressive.
One dog, named Keki, however, doesn’t need to wear a costume — she is the costume.
Not only is Keki’s ‘non-costume’ costume the cutest thing that has graced the internet, but people all over the world can’t help but weigh in and leave comments on her pictures shared online. When you get a glimpse of her epic ‘costume,’ you’ll know why. The Hungarian livestock dog transformed into…a mop.
Keki is a Puli which is a small breed of Hungarian livestock dog that is known for herding and guarding sheep and bovine. They are also known for their long, corded locks that look a lot like dreadlocks, or in this case — an uncanny similarity to a standard floor mop.
Keki’s owner brought the precious pup to the MainStrasse Paw-Rade in Covington, Kentucky. Although it wasn’t a contest, Mop Dog sure “cleaned the house” when it came to raking in the compliments.
A mop might not sound like the most entertaining, or intriguing costume idea in the world, but it’s obvious that this was Keki’s calling. In fact, all she needed to do was look super cute while being pushed along in the classic, bright yellow, push buckets that you might see a janitor pushing through school hallways.
“[She] loved the attention and petting she received,” a source close to Keki and her owner told The Dodo.
As Keki the Mop Dog was leisurely pushed around in her mop bucket, she caught the attention of dozens of passersby. People couldn’t help but post pictures of the precious girl online which sent the internet into a complete frenzy.
“This is the greatest thing in the world right now,” one Twitter user wrote after seeing Keki as Mop Dog for the first time.
Another Twitter user was so enthralled by Keki the Mop Dog, they couldn’t help but write a poem about her.
Now, if only Keki the Mop Dog could make a special appearance at all of our houses. That’s one mop and mop bucket that most people wouldn’t mind having to push around. Beyond cute!
