Tilly must have been wandering aimlessly until she saw a job that needed to be done and got to work.

Tilly had gone missing.

Tilly, along with her mom Linda Oswald and the rest of the family, were driving through Idaho when they got into a car accident.

The crash broke the back window and Tilly flew out of the car through the rear window.

The Oswald family was devastated.

They searched for Tilly for hours that day but with no luck. As any fur parent would know, it is always heartbreaking when your fur baby gets lost or goes missing, especially after something bad has happened.

Who knows where they’ve gone? Are they safe? Are they okay?

When they didn’t find Tilly, they decided to post her photo on Facebook and sought the help of the local residents to look for their beloved two-year-old Border Collie Heeler mix.

Someone was bound to have caught sight of Tilly. Even the Idaho State Police issued a call out to the local residents if they’ve seen Tilly but no one has seen her.

Meanwhile, Linda and her husband kept searching for Tilly.

“We are still looking for our pup Tilly. We’ve left food and his bed at the accident site. We’ve walked miles thru the Prarie calling him and talked to many kind people who are looking for him. We will stay at the accident site now and wait,” Linda updated her post.

They didn’t hear anything until two days later.

A Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office deputy was driving around looking for Tilly and they happened to pass by the Potter’s farm. Siblings Tyler and Travis Potter had just noticed something weird about their family dog, Hooey.

Upon closer inspection, they learned the dog wasn’t their dog at all.

It was Tilly!

Tilly managed to end up at the Potter farm, around 1.5 miles from where their car crashed.

The siblings, who recognized Tilly from the Facebook post, caught Tilly herding the sheep on their farm. Tilly was probably drawn to the farm because of the sheep.

The Potters realized this when they saw their sheep out on the pasture.

“He’ll herd anything,” Linda Oswald said. “When I go to the dog park, he tries to herd the people into one group.”

Fortunately, Tilly willingly went with the deputy to be reunited with her family.

When she arrived at her home, Tilly just went back to her usual self.

The little girl just wanted an adventure.
