A dog is a man’s best friend. They could also be your perfect playmate.
For the dog lovers and owners, some of you surely tried to play fetch with these adorable furballs to the point of exhaustion. Playing with them is a serious job.
Usually, they will initiate the activity. They will do certain actions that will make their favorite humans burst into fits of laughter.
Sporting their best puppy eyes, dogs will gently wag their tails to call your attention. Often they will have big smiles plastered on their furry faces, their tongues lolling on the side, looking so silly. And in not so rare occasions, they will raise their butts is in the air, while their heads are down.
This is what we call the play bow. This is their way of saying, “I am getting into my playing mode and I am going to play aggressively so prepare yourself for some extreme sports human.”
However, this is not always the case. What if the roles have switched? Here is a young little fella and his dilemma with his dog.
In a video uploaded on YouTube, a kid can be seen struggling to have his best friend play with him.
Armed with a blue ball on his right fist, the boy happily runs to his dog as if saying “Here I come.”
Usually, when a dog wants to have some interaction with you, they will bring you toys for you to be aware of their intentions. However, in this boy’s case, he is the one bringing the balls to his dog asking him to play, yet the dog evidently rejects his invitations.
The dog was already holding a ball in his mouth and he lets go of it. So when the kid offers him another ball, he gently shook his head to decline.
But the kid won’t let that dampen his spirits. With so much determination, he throws the ball as hard as he could and said “Gooo” whilst pointing at the bouncing ball. He even tried to talk his way to appeal to the almighty dog’s pity yet the latter continues to be stubborn and won’t participate.
The dog has decided. He won’t participate in any of the kid’s games for that day and shall be part of the audience instead. It is amusing to see how their roles have reversed in this hilarious situation.
At this point, the kid has admitted defeat. And what he does next will surely make you say “Aww”.
He envelops his fluffy buddy in a warm tight hug. Even the dog, which if I might add, resembles Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians because of the pattern and color of the fur, was caught off-guard with the candid gesture.
But no, the pup is not cruel at all. He might just be tired. And the kid has accepted that “It is fine buddy. Even if you won’t play with me today, I still love you.” The dog replied by licking his face. Now isn’t this pair the sweetest?
This sweet exchange between the kid and the dog melted so many hearts that the video has now racked up over 1 million views on YouTube.
It is proof of how many people find their situation adorable, and I mean, I can’t blame them.
