When you first see Beaux, you might be shocked.
Beaux was born with a facial deformity that dramatically alters his appearance. Since the breeder wasn’t making any money off him, he was given away for free.
Jamie was considering getting a dog when something incredible happened.
Jamie’s friend worked in landscaping and noticed that Beaux was in the backyard while he was doing his job. He soon realized the physical difference that the dog had and took a picture to send to Jamie!
When Jamie saw Beaux, her response wasn’t like most.
“Hey, that dog is so adorable!”
Most people recoil at the sight of Beaux; Jamie thought it was the cutest thing ever! After seeing him, she asked about his story – a dog like him had to have one.
As it turned out, Beaux’s owners were trying to get rid of him.
Beaux had spent five years in the backyard of the home and was sadly neglected. His owners were moving and didn’t want him anymore. They were in the process of trying to send him into the adoption system and considered just dropping him off at the shelter.
When Jamie heard this, she immediately made a decision.
As soon as she heard that Beaux needed a home, Jamie jumped on the opportunity. She raced over to pick him up and realized just how neglected the poor dog was.
You could clearly see his bones through his skin, and he looked to be in terrible health.
Jamie knew that she had to get him to the vet ASAP. When she finally arrived, the news stopped her in her tracks. Beaux wasn’t going to live. He had severe heartworms, and the medicine would kill him because of how underweight he was.
The odds of survival for the special dog were placed at 50%.
The vet explained that Beaux had a 50/50 chance for survival. During his stay, Jamie got calls from the vet counseling her to go there and see him three separate times. Finally, after an entire month, Beaux pulled through.
After the wild ordeal, Jamie named him Beaux Tox.
The vet bills cost so much that she doesn’t have Botox; she just has Beaux Tox! When the pup was finally able to come home, he had no idea how to live in a home. He peed everywhere and took a lot of training to get used to his new, happier life.
He now has a brother named Riley that he loves with all his heart.
Jamie already had a dog named Riley, who helped Beaux learn how to adapt to his new life. Now, Beaux is living the best kind of life and gets all kinds of attention from people! It truly turned out to be a miracle story.
