At first glance Moose looks like your typical golden retriever pup. He wags his tail when he’s happy, chases after squirrely things that move, and seems to be totally faithful to his doggy parents.
But, video footage that caught him cheatin’ on his family says it’s all been a pile of big, poopy lies!
Every single day at around the same time, Moose insists on being let out the front door. Rain or shine, he patiently waits on the driveway for his “other” amore to arrive.
And just who is this Don Juan that’s going around stealing doggy affections from his rightful family?
The neighborhood’s local mailman, of course!
When Moose first spotted a brand new U.S. Postal Service worker delivering mail to his house in early 2020, it wasn’t just curiosity that made him whirl his tail around like a helicopter blade – it was puppy love at first sight!
In the beginning, the one-and-a-half-year-old pup was okay with gazing at the mailman from the window of his home. But, when he couldn’t take it anymore he begged and barked to be let out.
The incredible feel-good vibes this man was giving off were just too much for the shaggy pooch to handle. This dog needed to meet his new best friend – like NOW!
Meghan Gruszynski suspected something was up her doggo, so she grabbed a camera and recorded Moose doing the dirty deed right there on the driveway.
But after outing him on social media in a series of adorable videos, the Internet can’t seem to get enough of this sweet pupper who hands out free hugs to the mailman like it’s candy!
Meghan told The Dodo that at first their interactions were flirtatious and cute, but it seems to have turned into something more serious. It’s now become a new doggy tradition for Moose to greet the mailman as soon as he arrives.
“I loved how much he loved our boy and loved how much Moose loved saying hi to him.”
It’s not just the hello’s and sloppy kisses that keep this friendship going. It turns out there’s a very heartwarming reason why these two are magnetically drawn to each other.
“A heartfelt reunion! Its been a week since they last saw one another and it’s safe to say they were equally as excited to see each other.”
After chatting with the mailman, Meghan learned that the duo’s daily hookups have actually been providing the elderly man with much needed doggy therapy.
“I’ve come to find out our mailman’s dog recently passed away. He loves how much love Moose gives him every time he is out on his route.”
If you know anything about dogs, then you know that Moose most likely sensed that this man was grieving. So, he offered up his paw in friendship, and the rest, as they say, is history! Except it’s not really history, or so Meghan hopes:
“Hopefully it continues for many, many years! He’s our mailman ’til he retires, so it should be fun watching their love.”

Sometimes when the mailman drives up, it doesn’t appear as if he’s actually delivering anything. He’s just going out of his way to get his daily dose of doggy hugs!
Now, that’s one furry little care package that anyone would be lucky to receive.
