The bond between little kids and their pets always seems to be a special one.
In fact, in our opinion, there’s no better way to give someone an amazing childhood than by bringing them up with a pet. Some of our happiest memories involve playing with our beloved pets, and there’s no doubt about the fact that you’ll remember your first pet for life.
Meet Jules, one little boy who has an extra special relationship with his dog, Luna.

Jules and Luna, who is a cross between a labrador and a boxer, have been friends from the very day that Jules was born. And since Jules has been able to walk, his bond with Luna has only grown.
In a sweet video that was shared by Jules’ mom on Instagram, we can see just how much the pair love each other.
Jules has his very own Instagram account called julianjouel, where his parents share adorable pictures and video updates of his little life. Many times, Luna is also a feature in these updates.
One video in particular that captured our hearts was shared back in October 2019 and is captioned, “Just me and my best friend, Luna, hanging out! I love her.”
The video shows Luna sitting outside in the garden, staring out into the distance. Either she’s in a reflective mood or she’s taking part in some very important guard dog duties- but whatever her reason, she seems very focused on the job at hand.
You might think that she doesn’t want to be disturbed, but when it comes to Jules, Luna always has the time for him.
As the sweet boy clocks that Luna is sitting outside by herself, he seems to know that she might want some company. So he toddles right over to her on his little legs and puts his arms around her neck, before giving her a few tender strokes.
It’s so adorable to see a child practicing their caregiving abilities, and bringing them up with a pet is actually a great way to help them grow compassion, empathy, and kindness.
When the quick cuddle is done with, Jules turns and toddles back towards the house again with a huge grin on his face. His smile is matched by Luna, who looks back at her younger brother as if checking to see that he gets inside safely.
The way that these two look at each other is something special.
