When some of us are guilty of a crime, such as eating all the cookies in the cookie jar, it’s hard to keep a straight face when asked about it. Not all of us are gifted liars, okay? Our consciences are too honest!
Dogs are especially known for their honesty and loyalty (most of the time), so they can also be not the most gifted liars around. But the video below shows one hilarious guilty reaction from a dog named Denver.
With soft emotional music playing in the background, Denver’s owner comes back home to find an upsetting discovery – somebody ate all of the kitty’s treats!
There are only two suspects: Macie and Denver.
First, the owner questions Macie. She is completely cool under pressure.
“Let me see your face,” he says as he holds the crime to her face. But she doesn’t flinch, so she seems to have nothing to feel guilty for.
With Macie crossed off the list, the dog owner turns to the only other suspect left: Denver.
“Denver, did you do this?” he asks. Hilariously, Denver’s face says it all.
“Look at me,” Denver’s owner presses, but the dog clearly can’t face his own crime. He keeps his eyes closed, wags his tail nervously, and keeps his head ducked.
The funniest part? Denver’s guilty smile when he can’t take it anymore. He ate the kitty treats!

As soon as Denver is found guilty by his owner, his owner sends him to the “Penalty Box”. Denver begrudgingly goes.
Considering Denver’s owner added, “You know the routine,” Denver is no first-time offender! Will Denver strike again? I hope he returns to being a good boy!
