Police dogs are always “on the job” but one Bolivian German Shepherd police dog finally had enough of work it an decided that it was time for him to play.
It was time for this dog to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a soccer player.
The dog was watching the game from the sidelines at a soccer stadium in Bolivia and grew tired of being on the sidelines just watching.
So even though he is supposed to be preventing people from jumping out on the field, he did just that. It was about 37 minutes into the match between Blooming and Nacional Potosí when the four-legged officer escaped his handler and decided to just go for it.
The dog saw his chance when two balls were thrown out onto the field. He leaped out onto the field and snatched one of the soccer balls from the players showing some impressive athleticism.
Apparently, all those years of dreaming about being an athlete paid off.
Some of the players tried to chase after him and snatch the ball back, but this dog was NOT having it. He wasn’t about to let anyone get in the way of his dream and just ran off.
And the look on his dog’s face was absolutely priceless.
He had the biggest smile on his face. He was in his friggin’ glory running around on that field and looked happier than a pig in you know what.
Eventually, some of the players were able to wrangle the dog enabling his handler to place a leash around his neck.
But the dog didn’t seem to care.
He had his moment and there’s was nothing that could change that or wipe the large grin off of his face. The video of this happy pup’s rebellious outburst ended up going viral.
There was some hilarious theories about why the dog jumped out on the field to steal the show on Tigo Star Bolivia’s Facebook page.
“Sure the poor dog got tired of watching’s lousy football and came in to teach them to play,” said one commenter.
“Goldo hired that dog q runs more than the players of your team and is not charging much lol,” said another according to a translation.
“The puppy plays better than the players,” said a third. “With that hairiness and those bisicletas. I think with 10 of those more quiet we go to the World [Cup].”
