There’s nothing that a dog could do that can make us hate them.
Even if they’re just sleeping or lounging around, we always think that it’s the most adorable thing we’ve ever seen.
One dog, however, tried to push the envelope of what we define as adorable because it did something totally unexpected in a stadium filled with soccer fans.
The soccer match between Curicó Unido and Palestino had to be stopped for a moment.
The game, held in Curicó, Chile, made headlines because of an unusual stunt. Out of nowhere, a big and fluffy dog causes a stir that will make the match memorable.
In a video shared on Twitter by TNT Sports Chile, the dog can be seen running through the field and toward the only thing that demanded his attention.
The big dog was so excited to play with the ball.
The game was halted so they can have a moment to deal with the intrusion. But as soon as the dog played with the ball, the crowd was divided between those who wanted the dog out of the game and those who roared a massive, “Aww!”
The players and the referee tried to retrieve the ball from the playful dog, but their attempts were in vain.
In the video, one of the players can be seen petting the dog while it holds the ball in its mouth and paws, sitting like it was the best thing in his life.
Maximiliano Salas, a Palestino player, eventually managed to pick up the dog.
He carried the dog out of the field. He even struggled a bit because of its sheer size but managed to carry it off the field.
However, the dog refused to let go of the ball and clamped its mouth shut, bringing laughter to everyone present. If he is sent out the pitch, then the ball goes too! It’s safe to say that dog – 1, regrets – 0.
After a while, the dog finally released the ball, and Salas handed it over to a stadium official.
The Premier Division game then resumed, with Palestino winning 1-0 against Curicó Unido, as reported by ESPN.
The adorable incident provided some comedic relief and garnered amusing comments from viewers around the world.

This wasn’t the first time a dog stopped a game.
Just recently, a match between Chile and Venezuela’s Women’s teams had to pause for a bit when a big black pup rushed to the middle of the pitch.
The dog first ran up to a goalkeeper before playfully rolling over for scratches. Then, it then charged over to the referee, who also treated it to some pets. The audience finally cheered when the dog made its way to the sidelines.
