The World Canine Organization is best known by its French title Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). It is the largest registry of dog breeds that is internationally accepted. At the time of this writing, the FCI recognizes 339 breeds of dogs which are divided into 10 groups based on the dog’s purpose or function or on its appearance or size. – Psychology Today

Some dogs are good at hunting and others… well, they make good cuddle buddies. Regardless, we can always find a place for a dog in our lives and be all the better for it!

If you’ve never heard of slacklining, let us be the first to explain it to you! It’s almost like tightrope walking but it’s usually lower and has quite a bit more give to the rope. A skilled slackliner and jump, bounce, and swing on the line and look absolutely crazy!

Slacklining is a sport and art that can be a balance training, recreation, and a moving meditation. It is similar, at first glance to tightrope walking, and is accomplished by stretching and tensioning a 1”– 2” wide length of nylon/polyester webbing between two anchor points, most often trees. Its origin has most commonly been attributed to the rock climbing community in Yosemite National Park as a way of passing time while maintaining concentration, fitness, core strength and balance skills. – Slackline US

If you haven’t guessed it yet, a man has taught his dog how to slackline! The dog is named Ozzy and his owner released a video that shows just how special his pup really is.

The video shows the two in the woods with a strung rope.

The man walks up to the rope and signals Ozzy to the first stage. Starting with just his paws, you can already see the balance from the dog. Then, he hops up with all four legs! It’s like he is a trained circus animal!

Then the finale.

The man motions Ozzy to stand up on his back legs – on the rope. For most humans, this would be tough enough. For Ozzy, it’s pretty astonishing. Seeing a dog balance on a rope with only its legs might just be that final push you need to go out and exercise!

At the end of it, we see the man reward Ozzy, much deservedly.

Look, we don’t know if Ozzy is a hidden trapeze artist or something, but he’s a gifted dog, no doubt. His friend gave him a well-deserved chance to play with his toy for his hard work. We’ve never seen anything like this before!

This also isn’t the only video of Ozzy doing incredible acrobatic tricks.

After working on it for years, Ozzy mastered doing a handstand on the slackline. This dog has better balancing skills than most humans!
