Dogs are very smart animals, there’s no doubt about that. It doesn’t take long to train them when you want to teach them a certain task or skill. Or perhaps, for them not to eat certain foods—like the dog in this short hilarious video.
In a video that has recently gone viral, a gorgeous Malinois learns that he’s not supposed to eat a particular food. His teacher? A stuffed reindeer.
In the 9 second clip below (originally shared on TikTok), the regal dog sits attentively, paying very close attention to what its owner is saying behind the camera. Right in front of the dog is a bowl, with some sort of food item inside. And apparently, the dog has a piece of that food in its mouth as well.
Next, the stuffed reindeer comes into view and “marches” its way over to that food bowl. Just seconds after supposedly “eating” what was inside the bowl, the reindeer collapses and “dies”. Pretty dramatic, right? Well—it taught the dog a lesson!
Immediately upon seeing the stuffed reindeer keel over after eating the food—the clever dog drops the food from its mouth. The pup certainly didn’t want the same fate!
It’s clear that this dog watches its stuffed animals very closely, learning life lessons along the way. This particular lesson really struck a chord with the smart Malinois—hopefully, the dramatic training session wasn’t too traumatic!

In another video that was initially shared on TikTok and has since gone viral, a dog owner wasn’t exactly training their dog, but pranking it instead. Using the same technique as the video below, a bowl is filled with dog treats. Sitting next to the bowl is the dog with one of the treats in its mouth.
From the left side of the screen this time, in comes the stuffed animal that will soon meet its fate—the llama. The llama “eats” away at the treats and again, collapses and “dies” in front of the dog.
And again, this dog quickly caught on to the fact that they, too, could end up like the llama—and spit out the treat.
Of course, this isn’t the first time people decided to have a little fun by pranking their dogs. In fact, one of the most viral pet pranks that have graced the internet is the #InvisibleChallenge. In this prank, dog owners would stretch cellophane across doorways and step over it without their dog seeing it—then, they’d call the dog and watch the pooch run into it. Funny or mean? In another popular internet dog prank, which was much nicer to the dog and even funnier in our opinion, was when dog owners would stretch out a blanket in front of themselves in a doorway, only showing their head. Once they grab the dog’s attention, they duck, drop the towel, and ‘disappear’—or so their dog thinks. It’s really quite adorable to watch all of their reactions.
