We absolutely love animal odd couples. It’s even better when they’re an animal odd trio! Like Bailey the Golden Retriever and his two best friends – a bird and a rabbit.
Golden retrievers are known for their sweet and affectionate demeanor.
According to the AKC, “Goldens are outgoing, trustworthy, and eager-to-please family dogs, and relatively easy to train. They take a joyous and playful approach to life and maintain this puppyish behavior into adulthood. These energetic, powerful gundogs enjoy outdoor play.”
This joyous and playful approach to life really explains how Bailey came to love and care for such different creatures as friends. Bailey doesn’t care what species you are, they just want to be your friend!
An adorable video was recently uploaded on YouTube showing the sweet relationship that Bailey has with Sam the bunny and Sky the budgie (a type of parakeet).
Along with the video, they included the caption:

In the short, 3-minute video, you can see all three animals simply hanging out on a soft and comfy bed. It’s like a dreamy lazy Sunday afternoon, just hanging with your besties. Two very different besties!

Once the video was uploaded to YouTube, people all over the globe were swooning at how gentle, caring, and kind the dog was being with the two much smaller animals. It was truly a sight to see.

Not only does Bailey have their very own YouTube channel, but they also have an Instagram and Facebook page. This adorable family lives in the beautiful town of Costa del Sol, Spain – so, it’s clear that life is pretty darn good for these guys.
