Beards. Essentially, beards are a man’s version of makeup. Gained some weight? Grow a beard and nobody will know. Pimple on your face? Unless it’s literally on your forehead, nobody can even see it. Beards are beautiful things and can hide almost anything – even… puppies?
Growing a beard takes some time.
While almost anyone can go a few days without shaving and end up with some scruff, the devotion is growing a beard of serious length isn’t for the faint of heart. You need to work through the cringes of the women in your life (don’t worry, they’ll love it soon), the drips of water caught in the hair, and the occasional itching (unless you are using a beard oil).
As the stats show, a beard grows about half an inch a month.
On average, beard hair grows half an inch (1.25 cm) per month or around six inches per year. After a few months of growth, it’s harder to tell where those extra half inches are growing in at. – The Beard Club
When it’s finally grown in, however, using conventional measurements doesn’t seem to bring the same amount of joy that measuring your beard once did. The only solution is to find a new way to measure your beard. The best and easiest? What is the largest thing you can hide in it.
For one man, that journey to beardom culminated in him hiding a living creature in his beard!
In a viral video from a few year ago, we get to see a man having some fun hiding things in his beard. Just hiding something in your beard isn’t enough to get you viral on the internet, however, it needs to be special!
At the start of the video, the man is laying on the floor.
At first glance, all you see is the man’s face, his hands, and his beard. His beard is stretching all the way down to the floor and you can’t be sure what exactly is going on at this point. You won’t have to wait long, however, since the video is only 4 seconds long!
With a laugh, we see a little head pop out from behind the beard!
There is a dog hidden in those luscious locks! The little pup pops out from the beard like a jack-in-the-box and stands to attention. When he sees that his dad wants to play, he exits his beard-den and comes out.
The pup’s dad can’t help but laugh at how silly the whole thing is.
Measuring your beard by how many puppies you can hide inside seems reasonable to me. It begs the question, however. What other things can people hide in their beards?
Apparently, there is a Guinness World Record for fitting the most toothpicks in your beard.
Joel Strasser won the title when he fit 3,500 toothpicks in his beard. Is that a bit weird? Absolutely. Do we respect it? Even more so. As we’ve seen today, what CAN’T beards do?
This little pup also isn’t the only beard obsessed-dog on the internet.
A man named Sean Sarantos has a tiny puppy who loves his beard. The pup even chews on Saranto’s beard to wake him up.
Who knew puppies and beards could be so adorable? Check out the puppy video below!
