It’s a fact that all dogs love to walk. It’s their way of exercising, interacting with the natural environment, and socializing with other dogs. This activity is essential for their growth and experiences. However, there are times when an owner will be ready to go home, but their pup will want to want to stay outside. Then, the dog often finds ways to make their walks longer.

There are at least two types of dogs during walks. First is the energetic dog who can’t wait for you to take him outside. If trained well, this type of dog will fetch his leash for you whenever he gets the urge to explore the outdoors.

The other is the dog who lazes around during walks and would probably want to lay on the cold concrete in the dog park. These dogs act almost exactly like cats, creatures who don’t care about engaging in such activity. Whichever one you have as a dog owner, surely you don’t usually encounter problems with them during walks.

This particular owner was spotted having trouble with his dog. The funny pup decided to ‘play dead’ so he wouldn’t have to leave the park.

A post on Facebook went viral after a passerby recorded a scene of a man and his dog in the park. The man owned a large Golden Retriever, and during their walk, the dog just decided to lie down on the concrete pavement and refused to be pulled. The owner kept trying to persuade his dog to walk but the dog just continued to act cutesy in front of him.

He tried to pet its belly several times but it seemed not to be enough. Offering the dog some treats also did not work. The owner also tried pulling the dog’s paw as it was lying on the ground, but it would just revert to its position. The dog would just get up to check on some passing dogs, but after a short interaction, the dog would go back to lying down.

The scene attracted quite a huge crowd in the park and most of the passersby were amused by their interaction.

The owner even tried leaving the dog behind to see if it would follow him. At first, the dog stood up, but when his owner came back to grab the leash, the dog would just lie on its back once again. No matter how much the owner tugged its leash, the dog never budged.

As frustrating it must be for the owner, it was hilarious for the onlookers. The owner never lost his patience and still tried to get his dog up. In the end, the dog followed his owner after being left on the pavement for a short while.

Nicola Booth uploaded the clip on Facebook with the caption:

“Next time you get irritated by your dog for being too slow on their walk to spare a thought for this dog owner I met this morning.”

The clip racked up 2 million views in no time. Probably because of how some people could relate to the guy’s situation, or they just found it hilarious.
