He’s a dog person. They’re foster fur parents to a stressed-out cat lacking affection. Now, he can’t live without Bug and he’s begging his wife to adopt him already.
Bug was a stray kitten.
He came to the Michiana Humane Society deprived of love and affection.
Every time a staff member, volunteer, or visitor would come or pass by, he’d always stick out his paw outside his kennel, hoping they’d touch it.
Bug also had a bad habit of rubbing his face against the kennel door, which caused him to lose his fur. He was also so stressed out that he was barely eating.
It was a heartbreaking sight.
The staff even placed another kitty in the same cell so he’d have a companion. But the other kitty wasn’t enough. Bug needed to be in a home, even a foster home.
And he needed to be placed in one ASAP.
Fortunately for Bug, when the staff members reached out to their foster families, they found foster parents who could take him.
He adapted quickly.
When his foster parents took him to their home, he had no problems adjusting to the new surroundings.
“When we brought him home, he was not scared at all. He was out and about,” his foster mom said. “As soon as you pet him, he would just start kissing on you and loving on you.”
And there’s one person in the house that Bug won over with his love: his foster dad. Or to be exact, his dog-person foster dad.
“Bug’s all about the love. He pretty much would not let my husband ignore him,” she told The Dodo. “My husband’s like, ‘Oh, we’re keeping him for sure.'”
Bug was always beside his foster dad. He was on his lap and constantly licking him.
His foster dad was always petting him and loving him. Pretty soon, he had already told his wife and the staff at the shelter that it was decided.
They were going to adopt Bug.
The staff at the shelter thought it was funny that it was the dog-person dad who insisted that they adopt him.
But it’s good news for Bug who will always have a home now and never has to return to a kennel or the streets anymore.
And in this house, Bug doesn’t just live with his parents.
He has cat brothers, too.
“He likes to play with his brothers,” his mom shared. “They were on top of the refrigerator. Leo was wanting to come over to me and get some attention, and Bug was just like, ‘No, we’re playing. We’re not done here.'”
It’s such a good thing that they all get along so well. If they didn’t, who knows what would happen to Bug?
Bug was in high demand.
So many people were so concerned for Bug and so many wanted to adopt him.
It’s a great feeling for Bug to know that so many people wanted to provide a good life for him and to give him as much love and affection as he wanted and needed.
