Out of all the animals in the world, dogs are definitely some of the most considerate. They seem to love and care for their owners more than us humans even care for ourselves, and they look out for us in ways that we couldn’t possibly even imagine. So when we came across a video of a dog going out of his way to do something so caring for a stranger, we just knew that we had to share it with you.

The video shows the sweet dog walking down a path with his owner, as a blind man passes on their right. But the dog immediately notices that there is a stick blocking the man’s path, and he has the sweetest reaction. The video soon became popular, and it’s one of the loveliest things we’ve seen today.

The video was uploaded onto Twitter by CP Pune City, and since being posted it’s racked up over 960,000 views, as well as 21k likes and over 6k retweets. After watching it, we’re not surprised that it’s proved popular, as it truly shows just what selfless and kind animals dogs are.

The clip begins with a woman and her German Shepherd dog walking down a footpath together.

A man approaches on the opposite side of the path, and the woman waves a hand in front of his face, maybe to show the audience that he cannot see. As the man continues forward, we can see that he is using a stick to help guide him, but he’s about to run into a hazard.

There’s a fallen tree branch directly in front of the man, and with his vision impairment, he may not be able to see it. But the amazing German Shepherd is already two steps ahead. He turns away from his owner and runs back in the direction of the man. He reaches the stick first, quickly picks it up and moves it to the side, out of harm’s way.

It’s a big branch, but the German Shepherd is more than a match for it, and in no time at all, he has moved it to the side of the path. What a little hero.

“Looked to me like it was a training exercise. As they were passing, the ‘owner’ puts her hand up to the man’s eyes to indicate to the dog that he is blind. That’s only my opinion tho. Still impressive.”

We think they make a good point! However, regardless of whether the video was staged or not, we still think that the German Shepherd deserves all the praise in the world for being such a Good Boy. The video has really warmed our hearts, and we hope it does to yours too.
