Dogs are lovable, loyal animals who just want to hang out with their best human buddies.
And luckily, most pet owners feel the same. They’ll happily spend as much time as they can with their beloved pup. Whether they’re sitting on the couch or playing at the park, dogs and their owners just want to be together.
Let’s face it though, there are also times when we have to focus on other things.
As much as we wish we could give our little buddies non-stop attention, occasionally, a job or daily life might come in the way. But for one dog, he wasn’t going to let something like “work” stop him from hanging with his human friend.
Pooches are known to pick up on the tricks we teach them like sitting, speaking, and possibly even rolling over. Then there are those who amaze us with their actions.
In the video below, a man is being filmed sitting at his desk in front of a computer screen.
He appears to be busy with some type of surveillance work – so likely isn’t focused on the dog who’s wandering the room. But that doesn’t mean the pooch had to just accept that his friend didn’t have time to hang out…
If the man wasn’t going to get down on the floor, the dog would have to join him at the desk!
That’s when he heads over to another chair that’s nearby. The dog starts by pushing the rolling chair out some, which makes the guy’s head turn to watch. They both pause for a moment and lock eyes.
Let’s hope the human needed some help at the computer because he was about to get a desk-buddy!
Using his front legs, the dog then begins wheeling the chair over to the desk.
When it’s in a perfect position, the only thing left to do is take a seat. Again, ignore me, I come to you.
Hilariously, the dog then hops up next to his friend, sits, and adorably wags his tail.
It’s unclear what the person’s reaction was to the pooch’s brilliant move since his back is turned away the entire time. However, most would be quite impressed by the dog’s actions – or at least, touched by how badly he wanted to be at his side.
On the other hand, the guy could have seen the trick before leading him to think, “Dude, not again. I really do have to work!”
While dogs are smart creatures, it’s quite interesting how they compare to humans.
In terms of linguistics, researchers discovered dogs are actually similar to toddlers. University of British Columbia canine intelligence expert, Professor Stanley Coren, told The Telegraph:
“The average dog is about as bright linguistically as a human two-year-old. This means they can understand about 165 words, signs and signals. Those in the top 20 per cent were able to understand as many as 250 words and signals, which is about the same as a two and a half year old.”
Dogs want to be with us all the time, but this dog takes it to a whole new level! What a sweetheart.
