Dogs are the epitome of loyalty and joy, reveling in the simple pleasures of life such as belly rubs, gentle ear scratches, and leisurely walks with their humans.

These acts of love deeply bond them with their owners, making their days brighter and hearts fuller.

Dog owners, in turn, find immense joy in spoiling their four-legged friends.

From toys that squeak to treats like peanut butter-filled Kongs, they leave no stone unturned in ensuring their pets’ happiness.

Despite investing in plush, comfy dog beds, these often remain pristine and unused as the dogs themselves prefer snuggling up on their owner’s beds or sprawling comfortably on the couch.

With Titus’s second birthday approaching, Alistair wanted to do something extraordinary to show her appreciation for his joyful, playful spirit.

She describes Titus with a laugh, “He’s the goofiest boy. Always ready to play, and without a doubt, the smartest dog I’ve ever had.”

Considering what would truly make Titus happy, Alistair pondered over the perfect gift.

After some thought, she realized, “What does Titus love more than anything? Tennis balls, of course! It’s a no-brainer!”

She started researching online and quickly discovered that a simple three-pack of tennis balls would not do.

Determined to make a grand gesture, she found herself faced with options of 30, 60, 200, or even 400 balls.

After some deliberation, she exclaimed, “I initially chose a pack of 60 but then thought, ‘No, that’s not nearly enough. He deserves all the tennis balls!’”

When the massive order of tennis balls arrived in two giant cardboard boxes—each as tall as Titus himself—it became impossible to keep the upcoming surprise a secret.

Titus, sensing something exciting within reach, tore into the boxes, managing to pull out two balls before Alistair could even blink.

Alistair, however, insisted that Titus wait until the actual day of his birthday to dive into the full gift.

When that day finally arrived, she opened the boxes and scattered all 398 tennis balls across their home.

The balls rolled under furniture, bounced down stairs, and nestled into every imaginable corner, sparking a frenzy of excitement in Titus.

Alistair recalls, “Initially, he was slightly shocked as the balls poured out, but within seconds, he was dashing around in a wild burst of happiness, absolutely thrilled by the avalanche of his favorite toys.”

Meanwhile, Bear was distinctly less impressed by the spectacle, preferring instead to observe from a quieter distance on Alistair’s lap.

He was content to receive treats and the assurance that he was loved just as much.

Over the following days, as Titus tirelessly retrieved balls from every corner of their home, Alistair made plans to share the surplus by donating a significant portion to a local animal shelter.

This gesture ensured that the happiness Titus experienced would be spread to other dogs in need, while still leaving plenty for Titus to enjoy for many more days.

Alistair warmly invites others to watch the video of Titus’s hilarious reaction, capturing the pure joy of a dog and his tennis balls below.
