We cannot deny that dogs are indeed intelligent in their own way. Despite not knowing how to express their love through understandable words, we could see how they feel about us through their simple actions. Although, we could admit to wanting to hear our dogs say the three words of affections in the English language.
This mom made it possible for her dog to speak words and phrases.
A dog owner Michelle has an adorable French Bully named Taj. He is an affectionate pooch who always loves to be given attention and fed with yummy treats.
One day, Michelle decided to teach Taj how to “speak” or mimic actual phrases like “Mama” and “I love you.” Luckily, Michelle was able to document the whole thing on her camera and share it with all of us.

She began to teach Taj with the word “mama.” It is quite understandable why she chose that because most of us treat our pets just like our own child. As Michelle shows Taj the treat, she immediately tells him to say “mama.”
Taj had a hard time imitating the sound and he could only say unrecognizable sounds. However, her mom never gave up until she heard him say something that closely resembles “mom.” That alone was enough for Taj to be rewarded for a yummy treat.
Ready for round two.
The speech training is far from over as Michelle still had a phrase that she wanted Taj to say. She grabs another snack from the bag and then instructs him to say the phrase “I love you.” Michelle slowly mouths the three words, waiting for Taj to make his impression of it.
With only a few attempts, Taj was able to replicate it. Although it does not sound perfect, Michelle and the man in the background reacted excitedly for a job well done. Taj says it the second time when her mom asked him to repeat the words, getting yet another tasty treat.
Taj never fails to make his mom happy.
Speaking is not the only thing that Taj could do to make his mom feel happy. In exchange for another treat, Taj would follow simple commands like “sit” and “(lie) down.” Furthermore, he could bust an extraordinary dance pose coming from Michael Jackson’s dance in Thriller. He would idly stand up with his two legs while raising his two other paws to complete the Thriller impression.
Taj is just one exciting pooch when it comes to treats. When Michelle told him to “stay,” he immediately gobbled the treat that his mom tried to put on top of his nose. Although, with a pooch as smart as him, I believe that Taj could nail this trick off-camera.
The short clip immediately reached the hearts of the people on the internet.
Taj’s mom decided to share this fun, short video on YouTube. The clip was uploaded in 2006 and it currently has over 1.3 million views. Thankfully, because of the YouTube algorithm, people were able to get a glimpse of this old, but gold video. Although the video is this old, Taj still gets the attention he deserves.
