When you get a dog, it really is like bringing a new best friend into your life.

In addition to all of the happy times you experience together – dogs are compassionate creatures that help during the hard times too.

Danilo Alarcon knows just what it’s like to have a four-legged friend that he can depend on. In fact, the Filipino man’s dog, Digong, was filmed assisting his owner in the most incredible way!

Alarcon had a bad motorcycle accident several years back that left him paralyzed and unable to walk. He’s had to rely on a wheelchair ever since.

Many people with a disability get a support dog to assist them in their daily lives. Whether it’s to act as a guide or to help ease someone’s anxiety – dogs can be like furry angels on earth. Alarcon’s dog is like one of these angels!

Digong entered Alarcon’s world when he was just a teeny, newborn pup.

The two quickly became inseparable, forming a very special bond that’s now known across the internet.

Amazingly, Digong helps his owner get around the streets of Davao, a city located in the Philippines.

The young pooch actually learned how to push Alarcon’s wheelchair from behind using his head and nose. It’s a heartwarming sight that’s caught other residents’ attention.

One couple was so blown away by what they saw that they decided to hit record.

Faith and Danjo Revilla were driving in their vehicle when they spotted seven-month-old Digong pushing Alarcon in his wheelchair. Like most would say, it’s not something they’d ever witnessed before!

Faith wrote on Facebook:

“Just this ordinary afternoon, we felt blessed to have witnessed this extra ordinary sight of an amazing creature helping its master maneuver his wheelchair along seminary drive. I mean, I thought it only happens in TV shows, this very scenario. I’m out of words to describe my emotions right now. May the good Lord will bless them both.”

On top of sharing the video with the world, the couple had a chance to actually connect with Alarcon and his sweet dog.

They all met and went out to lunch, enjoying a meal together and conversing. The group even posed for some beautiful pictures to keep as memories of the day.

Interestingly, Digong is named after the president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, who also goes by “Digong.”

According to The Dodo, Faith shared how it all started with Digong pushing Alarcon’s wheelchair. She said:

“The wheelchair pushing started when Digong saw Danilo stop and rest while maneuvering his wheelchair, and the dog just out of the blue started pushing his wheelchair using its head.”

But that doesn’t mean that Alarcon doesn’t do kind favors for his buddy as well. Faith explained:

“If the dog gets tired, it will go in front of Danilo and Danilo will allow Digong to sit on his lap.”
