They say that dogs and their owners look alike. And in many cases, they do. But many dogs also mimic the behaviors of their humans. Sometimes, that’s a bad thing but other times, it’s awesome. There are even pups that accomplish things that seem impossible.

Mimicking humans

According to Cesar Millan, one of the best dog trainers and behavioralists in the world, there’s a reason for this. Typically, dogs observe what people do, and then being the clever animals they are, they evaluate if doing the same thing will help them achieve a specific goal. For instance, if a pup wants praise and they think mirroring their owner’s actions will result in that, then they’ll do it.

A special bond

Nic Bello owned an adorable Chihuahua named Pancho. The two became best friends. And that meant they spent a great deal of time together, something they both enjoyed immensely.

Fitness buff

Come to find out from a video posted on social media, Nic is what you’d call a fitness buff. He enjoys doing all kinds of things outdoors. But he also likes yoga, which he can do in the privacy and comfort of his home. This video is so incredible that it’s already garnered more than 940,000 views.

The best yoga partner ever

But Nic doesn’t do yoga by himself. Nope, Pancho was right there by his side. This pup might be tiny but when it comes to exercise, he is a beast. Nic explained that his dog could do every move… except one that involved standing on a chair.

Move for move

So, when it was time for Pancho’s owner to do yoga, the pup was always up for the challenge. In the video, you can see that he had no problem keeping up. Whatever his owner did…he did.

Following the instructions

In the video, a male called out different moves. Just like Nic, Pancho followed along. At one point, the voice said to relax the neck. And that’s what this pup did.

Stretching it out

When the male voice said to lift the neck high, that’s right, Pancho did exactly that. But here’s the cool part. This dog wasn’t looking to see what his human did. Instead, it was as though he understood every word spoken.

Right on cue

Next, the male voice instructed Nic (and his dog) to move their head to one side. Right on cue, Pancho obeyed. Then when the voice said to slowly move the head back to the center, this pup did just that. The video is quite phenomenal and funny.

Quality time

Sure, Nic and Pancho did all the normal stuff like taking walks but doing yoga together gave them special bonding time. This pup seemed more like a human than a dog. And his owner loved every second of it.

People started posting

Shortly after the video was uploaded, people began to post comments. Come on, it’s not every day when you get to see a tiny dog do yoga with its owner. One poster said, “This doggo was definitely a yoga instructor in his previous life.” And we think they’re right.

Sadly, Pancho has since crossed the Rainbow Bridge. With respect, another person commented, “This put a smile on my face and made me laugh. However, reading the comments made me a bit
sad…R.I.P. little guy.
